i have been having very similar problems all week with sending emails from my yahoo account. some outbound messages go fine, but in too many cases i can't send a message. Either I get prompted for captchas constantly or, like you, I get a message saying they've detected a possible issue (i.e., spam) and can't send the email and to try again in 24-hrs. in many cases, even after answering the captchas correctly, it still won't send and gives me the spam message.

At this point, I have no idea if any particular email will get sent or get blocked. My account is unusable like this.

i have sent many emails to tech support, but have not gotten any useful response. So I went to their online chat and was talking to an agent for 30 minutes or so.

The conclusion from the chat is that i have been advised to send no more than 2-4 emails per day which contain any of the following: "HTML code (code used to format websites), Links to other websites, Embedded graphics, Attachments, Forwarded messages (chain letters, jokes, etc.), High Outbound Message Volume, Sending email to multiple recipients." Since 90% of modern email fits into one or more of these buckets, this is wildly impractical.

As the message indicates, I was told that the account will clear after 2-24 hours, but this has not been the case for me. For several days running, I have had a large percentage of perfectly normal messages blocked. But then even if it does clear, the rep confirmed that the "2-4 emails per day max" rule still applies.

Based on my experience and what the rep said, it sounds like Yahoo is clamping down so hard on spammers that normal email usage has now become suspect and subject to blockage.

Yahoo is a website to send and recieve emails and surprisingly see whats going on in the world like news. Go on http://www.yahoo.com and sign up! Once you have done that, you will have your email. You will get a email from the Yahoo! company saying if you would like a tutorial or not. There is also Yahoo Answers, Yahoo! Pulse, anything. Yahoo Answers is like Answers.com, execpt there's levels and points you have to score to for example thumbs up peoples answers. And you can choose somebody's answer for the BEST answer.

I was having the same problem with it, so I joined WikiAnswers. Some people can't post or answer questions, usually when Yahoo is doing maintenance. (Or having a well known coffee break.) The answers on WikiAnswers are not determined by voting : most are factual and researched.

i am pretty sure that you do get a delivery failure notice, but only if you try to send the email to the person who has blocked you. if you send an email to the person who has blocked you, they will never get the email, and it is just the matter of time when you will get a delivery failure notification in your inbox. i am not sure when will you get the notification, but i am pretty sure that you will get it. it probably wont notify you right after you send the email. it can a lot longer, but im not sure how long exactly.

We can not do much about what is being said on other sites. Hopefully, if offensive remarks are being made there, the supervisors of those sites will take the time to correct this. Perhaps the answer is to have a look around WikiAnswers. You will find that creationists are warmly accepted here, and we try to give fair and objective answers to questions. Some Contributors will disagree with the creationist view, as is their right, but they will try to do so in an informative way without giving offence.

Yahoo Answers does not block you, it suspends your entire Yahoo Answers account. If you can answer, you can ask. So, the problem may be in your questions, not in Yahoo Answers blocking you. Here are a few reasons you might have trouble asking a question:

Questions are prescreened for certain words and/or phrases, to help spot violations. Flagged questions are held for staff review. So some questions may not post for hours - or may get violated by staff. Delayed questions will be off the front page, so will get very few answers.

If you are posting questions with links in them, this can delay the question posting or even cause it to not post. To get around this, post the question without the link first, then return to the question and use the PENCIL under it to put the link in the 'additional details' section.

Finally, if you post the exact same question multiple times, quickly, then this may trigger an 'antispam' filter that will cause them not to post. If you need to post a question more than once, wait a while between postings, and try rewording them each time so they are not exactly the same.
