Why is the Yu-Gi-Oh card Brain Control banned?

It has ended up on the forbidden list for Yu-Gi-Oh because it is valuable for duelists who want to control opponents monsters and use them as a sacrifice to summon their higher level monsters.

It only costs the duelist 800 life points which is worth gambling because if their opponent controls only 1 monster and it gets targeted by Brain Control then the control of the duel could change and the Brain Control user can attack the life points directly after stealing their opponents only monster. This is why it's forbidden and it is certain it will stay there until the card is not used as much in tournaments.

The Winged Dragon of Ra (Tournament-legal)

This card cannot be Special Summoned. You must Tribute 3 monsters to Normal Summon this card (You cannot Set this card). The Normal Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Normal Summoned, the effect of Spells, Traps, and Effect Monsters other than this card cannot be activated. If this card is Normal Summoned, you can pay Life Points so that you only have 100 left to have this card gain ATK and DEF equal to the amount of Life Points paid. Also, you can pay 1000 Life Points to select and destroy 1 monster on the field.

How do you pull Holo Yu-Gi-Oh cards?

You pull holographic cards randomly in packs. In most packs, there are 9 cards (exeptions are dark biginnings/ revelations, duelist packs) and one of them is guarrenteed to be a rare or holographic card. Rare cards have silver lettering, and holographics have either a shiny picture of gold lettering or both. The different types of holos are super rare, ultra rare, secret rare, ultimate rare, and ghost rare. Rare cards are more common than holos so you usually don't get a holo in your first few packs, but u will get one soon.

actually in improvement to this there are several methods to almost perfectly ensuring holo pulls.

-fist method: crazy as it sounds any holo yugioh card aside from ultimate will be heavier then rares or commons. so buy a scale that measures very exact in grams. usually to .01 or .001 of a gram. weight all the packs and sort them into 3 main groups. lightest, middle and heaviset. the middle pile will be largest and heaviest the smallest.

in my experience this does not work on blister packs because konmai and upperdeck use diffrent cadrboards to throw off scalers.

if u way in store. be discreet or ask the manager. its completely legal but some managers are really strict about it. and if they ask explain and be polite.

-second method: its called freezing and basically u will buy packs and stick them in the freezer. the packs with holos will puff up and be bigger or wider than ones with rares. it does not effect the card after taking them out of the freezer.

this will work on blister packs but u have to be careful when judging the puffiness and expansion because of the plastic covering.

-third method (really reliable if u get good at it): look at the packaging if there is some difference between packs such as a stray dot or darker color then open those. be careful though. i did this on e duelist pack yugi wich was ever so slightly darker and pulled a mirror force.

Can you use miracle contact with Elemental Hero Neos Alius?

There is no card called "Miracle Contact" so:

If you are referring to using "Miracle Fusion" with "E-Hero Neos Alius" (when not Double Summoned), then you can use it if the Fusion Material monsters does not call for a specificE-Hero. If the Fusion Material monster required is "E-Hero Neos" then you first need to Double Summon "E-Hero Neos Alius".

If you are instead talking about using "Contact Out" on a Neos Fusion Monster and Special Summoning "E-Hero Neos Alius" from your deck, you can not since while it is in the deck it's name is not "E-Hero Neos".

Can you summon a card in attack mode then switch to face down defense mode?

Generally no, a card cannot be manually switched to face-down Defense Position after it is Summoned on the field in face-up Attack Position. There are some cards that allow you to switch it into face-down Defense Position as an EFFECT. For example: Golem Sentry.

Golem Sentry

EARTH/Rock/Lv 4/Effect

ATK: 800

DEF: 1800

You can flip this card into face-down Defense Position once per turn. When this card is Flip Summoned successfully, return 1 monster on your opponent''s side of the field to the owner''s hand.

With cards such as Golem Sentry, you can Normal Summon it and activate its effect, flipping it face-down in Defense Position, in the same turn.

Is trap hole a targetting card?
