The number of merit badge classes you can pick at summer camp may vary depending on the specific camp and its schedule. Generally, campers can select multiple merit badge classes to take during their time at camp. It is important to check with the camp's guidelines and availability to see how many classes you can choose.

Dry lubricant is the only allowable lube by standard BSA rules. Graphite is a dry lube and it will not dry out. Do not mix dry and wet lubricants. They will not work well together.
Although graphite does not dry out over time, it can in fact draw moisture from the air it is exposed to over time. This all depends on the humidity levels of the air that the car/graphite is being stored in. If the graphite draws moisture it will start to act like a paste and slow the car down by placing more friction on the axles. I always recommend re-graphiting your wheel just before any race.
You seem to be describing a noose. The cowboys use a lariat.

The patches that go on a CUB scout uniform are:
Right sleeve: US Flag, Den Numeral, Quality Unit Award (if earned by the unit)
Left sleeve: Council Shoulder Emblem ("strip"), Veteran Unit Insignia (optional), Pack Numeral
Right Pocket: Temporary Patches (Leave No Trace, World Conservation, other activity patches). The progress toward rank totem/ beads can also be worn. The Outdoor activity award is sewn to the right pocket flap. The national summertime award (a pin) is worn pinned above the pocket. Outdoor activity award pins (given after the patch is given if earned in subsequent years) are pinned to the patch on the right flap.
Left Pocket: Rank badges and arrow points. Metals are pinned just above the pocket seam and the years of service pins (the most recent - not all them) are pinned above the pocket. The religious Knot is worn centered over the pocket. The world crest is worn centered over the pocket centered between the left shoulder seam and the top of the pocket.
Other patches (ie Pinewood Derby, Scouting for Food, Visit to "somewhere") can be worn on a red felt vest.
Other ideas for those patches are Jackets, Duffle bags, blankets, scrape books, etc.
See related links for specific on patch placement.
