What are tennis courts made of?

Tennis courts may be made of virtually any materials, the most notable of which are represented by the four tennis Grand Slam venues: hard (cement or similar; the most common tennis playing surface, played at both the Australian Open and US Open tournaments), clay (true, crushed brick, synthetic; the second most common tennis playing surface, played at the French Open tournament), and grass (the eponymous progenitor of "lawn tennis", specially blended and cut; the least common tennis playing surface, due to its high maintenance costs, played at the Wimbledon and International Tennis Hall of Fame, Rhode Island, USA, tournaments). Other surfaces include artificial grass(carpet), packed sand, and rubberized asphalt. Certain poor areas and island nations use whatever resources they have available, such as crushed sea shells, wood planks, etc, or just put up a make-shift net on deserted tarmacs, empty streets, etc.

When did the Elizabeth 1 became Queen of England?

Elizabeth became Queen of England shortly after her older sister Mary I (better known as "Bloody Mary") died childless on 17 November 1558. Prior to this, Elizabeth was an unwilling participant in several "succession attempts" during Mary's reign. The first being when she was 14 and Thomas Seymour, her fourth stepmother's husband was arrested in January 1549 on the suspicion of plotting to marry Elizabeth and overthrow his brother (this was during the reign of her younger brother Prince Edward Seymour). Elizabeth, who was living in Hatfield House at the time, admitted nothing and her stubbornness confirmed her guilt according to her interrogator. Following Edward Seymour's death, his will swept over both Mary and Elizabeth and declared Lady Jane Gray Queen instead, and action that spurred both sisters into action and won Mary I the thrown. However, due to their opposing religions views the sister's relationship crumbled when Elizabeth refused to conform. Shortly, after the Wyatt S Rebellion in 1554, Elizabeth was interrogated about her role and later imprisoned in the tower of London on March 18th of the same year, while several members of court believed so long as she lived she was a threat to Mary's reign. Convinced she would die, Elizabeth requested she be beheaded in the same fashion of her mother by a French swordsman: a method much faster than an ax. However, Elizabeth had supporters in court who convinced Mary to spare her life, and on May 22, Elizabeth was moved from the Tower to Woodstock, where she spent a year under house arrest. She was recalled to court on April 17 in 1555 to witness the birth of Mary's child, as whether or not it lived would decide the right to succession. However, when it became clear that Mary was not pregnant, it was believed she was barren and Elizabeth's succession seemed assured. Following Mary's death, Elizabeth became Queen at age 25 and declared her intentions to her Council and other peers who came to swear allegiance. While she traveled through the city on the eve of her coronation the citizens openly cheered and wholeheartedly welcomed her, mostly among the Protestants and her open and gracious responses endeared her to the spectators. She was coronated as Queen Elizabeth I, the following day on January 15, 1559 by Owen Oglethrope, the Catholic bishop of Carlisle, at Westminister Abbey, and was then presented for the people's acceptance which was considered one of the loudest in history. There are hundreds of books and bibliographies documenting the life and accession of Elizabeth before and after her reign and all during the reigns of her father, brother and sister all of which can be found at any local library and there are several bibliographic websites as well. Far too many to list, but ask any librarian and they will have plenty of sources for you.
