Honestly it depends on how you think what a relationship means. If your younger , say in high school, there are boyfriend and girlfriends who say their in a relationship. So thery're dating. Their still young so their relationship isn't something serious. If you were out of highschool maybe, and were in a dating relationship, it could be taken more serious because with the older age, settling down is more of n option. Then again, there's also a relationship meaning you relate well with someone. For example : me and my younger brother have a strong relationship. That doesnt mean we're dating, it just means we relate and get along well. Actually the origin of the word "relationship" is; "sense of being related," from relation + -ship. Specifically of romantic or sexual relationships.

You should be flattered as she obviously looks up to you and admires you, your style and the way you are. she probably really looks up to you but that is definitely very annoying. dont tell her when you buy something, and give her gifts for her bday and christmas that are completely different than something you would buy for yourself. since shes copying you on everything, she'll probably start buying more things of the sort you gave her and leave you alone.
plan b: take her shopping and point out things that are nice-looking, but not your style. show her something she'd look good wearing, but that's not your taste. or, try taking her to a completely different store than the one you shop at. introduce her to the clothes there and hope that she wont copy you any more!
if all fails, tell her nicely, "i think this would look better on you," or "if you want my opinion, that other store is more your style," or "our styles are kind of different, but i know a store that sells clothes that look so cute on you!" she'll eventually grow out of it
I think you should sometimes try to start a conversation with him\ her so you can get comforable talking to them , and maybe you can try hanging out with that person and maybe soon you guys can soon be really good friends. If that doesn't work you should comfront the person and tell them you'd like to be friends.

Don't mention the words "best friend" when discussing your new friend to your best buddy. Best friends are worked at, so if this friend is new in your life you are simply "friends" for now and reassure your best friend that they are simply just that. Slowly introduce your new friend to her/him, but be sure your new friend isn't always around and you do a few things with your best friend. If this is not working then you are going to have to have a talk with her/him and let them know they are not going to be leading your life. All of us have many friends on different plateau's. We have acquaintances, then friends we see more often and then there are a few very close friends and finally the "best friend." Each friend should be treated with respect, but that doesn't mean one of those friends should ever dictate to you how to live and who to choose as friends. 20 years ago I had a best friend (we met when she was ill) so we were very close. Then we had new neighbors move next door to our house. They were a young married couple and I became friends with the wife. It was easier to see her of course because they were next door and we'd get together fairly often on the weekends. The odd time her and her husband would come over for a evening. My best friend finally admitted she was extremely jealous of this girl. Since I hadn't dumped my best friend and frequently went out with her, I honestly didn't feel this fair, so I had a talk with her. I slowly introduced her to my new friend and had them both over at times and they seemed to get along. In time, my best friend decided that she didn't want to share me with someone else and demanded I give my friend up. I refused and told her straight up that she was not going to control my life, that she would always be my best friend and no one could take the place of her. There was a period after that where my best friend refused to see me, but, again, in time she started to come around and I just kept her from my new friend so there would be no hard feelings. I also learned a lesson and was more aware of what I was doing so I wouldn't hurt my best friend. Best friends are simply fearful that they will be left out and forgotten and it's true that in some cases this can happen. It's a balancing act, but one many of us will have to do. BREAK OUT OF THAT SHELL AND TALK TO SOMEONE! Trust me you will make friends fast this way. Compliment someone. Be funny, nice, and be outgoing to be a success. My siblings and I know that our older brother is our mother's favorite, but we're grown up and it doesn't bother us. Anyway, I think it has to do with your little sister being.. well... little. If she is a few years younger then you she just requires more attention. If it bugs you THAT much I would confront your father and talk to him about it.
