Miami offers a warm, tropical climate which is inviting to all people but of course the homeless. Miami has also passed a series of laws which protect the homeless from being arrested or harassed for 'life sustaining behavior'. They can wash their clothes in public, sleep in public, bathe, and beg without the fear of police or business owners.

1) Not enough money. (could happen from no initiative to get a job, can not get a job or too many mouths to feed to pay for everything)

2)Drugs and/or Alcohol. (could be so consumed in drug and alcohol abuse, that nothing else matters)

3) Runaways. (could happen from abuse at home)

Howard hughes was so sick of people only liking him for money he posed as a homeless man to see how many people would be as kind and there was one man who was very kind to hughes thinking he was homeless gave him a place to stay and food and warm clothes and told hughes he would be his friend and its unfortunate for anyone to live so rough and hughes thanked the man and after staying for a week hughes told the man how nice it was to be so kind and he gave the man 1 billion dollars because hughes was a trillionaire, and him and hughes stayed friends until the kind man died.

A hobo is a migratory who is homeless that wanders around looking for work. Most people confuse the term with bums (those who do not work at all) and tramps (those who only work when forced). The term is potentially offensive because it implies that the migratory homeless workers are lazy.

You can try Goodwill or Salvation Army. You can also look up Charities in the Yellow pages or online. The front of the phone book has a section that list numbers for things like Police, Shelters, and Poison Control, and they may also have some charities listed there. Also check with Recycle.org and Craigslist.org
