the reason it happend way because 2 plates were subduting (one plate way pushing anouther plate down) evenchaly the plkate snaped back into place macing the earth rise by 20m waking a wave. there was 4 waves from all the shockwaves put into the water some siantists say it had the force of 35000 atomic bombs - i don't belive- hope this helps
