What if your mom nags you all day and hits you with a wooden spoon and swears at you when you make a mistake is this normal?

Definitely not. Might even technically be verbal, emotional, or physical abuse depending on the extent of the hitting with the spoon, what exactly the mistake was, how often, etc. Perhaps there is a counselor or teacher at school that you could talk to. It may be that your mother needs help from a doctor.

You have been having a lot of pain in your right leg from your hips to your toes should you be worried?

Get checked for a possible blood clot as soon as you can, just in case, and until you do don't massage the area.

Can taking opiates cause stomach pain?

Yes, if you are experiencing stomach pain after taking opiates, lay down on your back, close your eyes, relax and don't "fight" the effects of the opiate. You'll find your stomach pain will decrease.

How do you increase your pain threshold?

The three basic strategies to increasing pain thresholds and tolerance are chemical, physical, and mental.

Chemical strategies include things like opiates, anti-inflammatories, and anesthetics, but some novel strategies involving desensitizing compounds like capscaicin have worked for some.

Physical strategies include physical exercise, cold water desensitization (induced hypothermia), and desensitization by repeated stimulation. Both aerobic and muscle training increase thresholds and tolerance.

Mental strategies involve meditation, breathing techniques, hypnosis, or combinations and variations therof.

Combinations of these strategies have been shown to be therapeutic for occupational therapy applications, chronic pain management, sports, and military training.

What could cause pain and burning sensation around both shoulder blades and also tender to the touch in some areas?

Pain described as 'burning' is generally related to nerves. I would suspect an impingement/pinched nerve situation.

If your body hurts all the time is this a sign of a health problem?

Yes. once you have developed chronic pain it is a sign of a health problem. You will want to discuss this situation with your doctor to rule out any serious health threats.

If you have chronic muscle aches and pains all over you may have a condition called fibromyalgia. Allopathic (traditional) medicine does not recognize a cause for fibromyalgia at this time, however alternative medical communities have many ideas. Before taking medications that can be harmful to your body you will want to look into lifestyle changes.

In less severe cases, this can be a sign of your body telling you to reduce stress in your life and relax. Get a massage, energy work, or some form of treatment done. Gentle exercise is also helpful.

Is it true that it doesn't hurt when you get shot?

Absolutely not - most people who get shot are in terrible pain, though they go into shock fairly quickly depending on the area of the wound and any vital organs damaged. Reports of those who "don't feel pain" when shot are usually exaggerated and refer to those in too much shock for their brain to really register what's happening, but the pain is there nonetheless. Eventually when the shock wears off, the pain will hit the brain and register.

The body's endorphines can only do so much, and even then level at which pain is felt in each person is perceived differently based on the person's prior experience with pain, known as their Pain Threshold. For people who have a very high Pain Threshold, myself included, it can take a lot of pain before it feels uncomfortable or excruciating, where the same amount of pain in another person with a much lower threshold might pass out at the same level.

My jaw used to have to be popped over and over again until it cracked and now it just gets stuck a lot I saw an Orthodontist and he said it will go away but I think I inherited it Name of this?

What you're describing is consistent with the symptoms of TMJ (TemporoMandibular Joint Disorder). However, if he didn't diagnose you with TMJ, then something else that can cause what you're dealing with is Stress of any type.

Stress causes us to tighten certain muscles, and the jaw is one of the most common (think gritting your teeth). It's apparent if you feel inside your mouth and can feel the misalignment of your teeth. Using a mouthpiece/mouthguard at night helps keep the jaw from tightening, but ultimately if it's stress related, only removing the source or finding a way to relax will give you any relief.

I've dealt with this for many years, but have learned to deal with it by using relaxation techniques, mental focus, and muscle relaxers when necessary.

TMJ is a specific problem that is well known - never take any one doctor's word for it that you don't have a specific issue. You can read more about TMJ at the Wiki link below.

What are stimuli that cause pain?

In the nervous system the stimuli is something that stimulates a pulse, for example if I were to stab you with a pin the signal would be picked up by the receptor, which would then travel through the sensory, relay (coordinator) and motor neurone to implement a reflex, through an electric pulse, in this case the pin would be the stimuli.

What kind of pain does gabapentin good for besides sizuraze?

Sizuraze? What?

Gabapentin (neurontin) is used for neuropathic pain. This is an off-label use that is very common. For example, diabetics with peripheral neuropathy, or people with post-herpetic neuralgia from shingles.

In recent years, Lyrica (pregabalin) was made specifically to treat nerve pain and works similarly to gabapentin. Nerve pain is generally described as tingling, burning, electric, or pins and needles. Drugs like these are generally considered ineffective against other types of pain.

How can you get hurt when you hit the water?

When you dive into water, your body undergoes rapid deceleration because the water is thicker than the air. Basically, as you slow down, you internal organs can slam into each other or your bones; this is one of the main cause of injury in car accidents. If you are falling fast enough (from a high enough height) the force of deceleration can cause your organs to rupture and fail, which may lead to your death. Jumping into water from a height of two stories is equally to falling onto a concrete sidewalk from the same height; if can beak bones and make it impossible for you to swim and cause you to drown.

How do you tell someone that you're sorry for the pain you have caused them if they caused you pain too and yet you would still like to work it out but they left six months ago?

Personally, I have gone through the same thing over the years. I am 16 years old and have battled a mixture of bulemia and compulsive overeating since I was 11. I understand that it is hard, but in the end, WHAT DOSEN'T KILL US MAKES US STRONGER. Always remember that. If this person does not contact you, it doesn't matter. Fix your wounds before you fix someone elses.

Let the old wounds heal over, forget about it and move on.

AnswerIn the past you may have said you were sorry for the pain you caused. That really is enough. If they have not contacted you after 6 months chances are they are not going to. You deserve to be happy as well. I do not think that you may be ready for a new relationship, But you can always date. You will not forget your past love or the time that you spent together. But as long as you know in your heart that you regret what you said or did...then it's time to let go & move on with your life.

Why would you have no pain when inserting or wearing a tampon but have intense pain when taking it out even when you pull on the string very gently?

Maybe its because the tampon you are using is not soft enough//too rugged. Or maybe it just has to do with the sensitivity of your vagina.
