I think this are regular tasks of a librarian but I might be wrong.

Land--> the school can use a small are of the yard to make it a garden and plant some veggies, legumes, fruits.. that can be used inn the cafeteria...given that the area is not used that much of if it is at a awkward corner where is hard to play/ use.

only you know what can be done since you are the one going to that school, these are just generic examples. walk around school and think of a better way to used a specific area, tool, item, natural resource of heat....

even rain water can be trapped in a tank and used as either water for a gardening yard when there is no rain expected for several days or even to be used to wash outdoor floors, fences, outdoor windows.. after its been strained from leaves or any small pieces of debris if needed.
