Why is the temperature range of a clinical thermometer 35 degree Celsius to 42 degree Celsius?

Because if a person's temperature went outside that range, they would be in very serious medical danger. At those extremes, knowing the exact temperature would matter far less than urgent action to bring it back into normal range.

How does the size of a Fahrenheit degree compare to the size of a kelvin degree?

A Fahrenheit degree is smaller than a Kelvin degree. In the Fahrenheit scale, one degree is equal to 1/180th of the interval between the freezing point and boiling point of water, while in the Kelvin scale, one degree is equal to the same size increment as one Celsius degree, but starting from absolute zero.

How can a temperature in degrees Fahrenheit be below freezing if it is above 0 degrees F?

On the Fahrenheit scale, the freezing temperature of water is 32 degrees at atmospheric pressure.

On the same scale, the freezing temperature of gold is 1,948 degrees at atmospheric pressure.

Does the celsius sign go before or after the C?

The Celsius sign is the C; the little circley thing at the top is the degree sign and goes before the C

How many Joules of heat are necessary to raise the temperature of 46 g of water from 100.0 Celsius to 114.0 Celsius?

delta T x specific heat x mass Delta T = change in temperature specific heat of water = 4.1813 J/gC Mass= 45.0g 48C-14C=34C 34 C x 4.1813 J/gC=142.1462 J/g 142.1462 J/g x 45g = 6397.389 J restricting us to three significant digits = 6.40 x 10^3 J

Rapid economic development has resulted in much higher standards of living in urban areas but not in the countryside. This brigh some problems for the country as a whole and how might they be reduced?

Actually, this question was given by me because I have an English writing test.

so I want to check and correct my writing.

This below is my writing, please check and correct this grammatical and spelling

From the evidence of developing countries all over the world, a number of social problems are generated. As a result, an unsteady development has become a rising concern in today's contemporary society, and there is no doubt that companies and countries are responsible for this issue.

The problem is derived from an increasing sense of inequality between the the city and countryside. People from the countryside will try to move to the cities to get more employment opportunities and better access to the facilities available there. Therefore, this increase in the urban population puts great pressure on housing and services.

This can be solved with improving the standards of living and the facilities available in the countryside. Perhaps incentives can be offered to factories and companies to relocate. In order for these to built road and rail network to make relocation possible as well as to require doctors and teachers to spend part of their professional lives in rural areas.

In conclusion, the sense of inequality is crucial issue in a country's economic development, therefore, governments and companies should take practive steps to make sure that people understand the importance of balanced development for reducing these problems.

Why are the freezing melting and boiling points lower on high altitude?

Heat is only energy. In areas of low pressure, such as high altitudes, "heat" particles, which are charged electrons, escape more quickly. As more "heat" (electrons) escapes more quickly, things freeze more quickly.

As far as I know melting and boiling points are higher, not lower in high altitudes.

What happens to sugar when put in water at freezing and boiling point?

Sugar lowers the freezing point of a liquid by a process called "freezing point depression". The same idea is used when salt is sprinkled on icy roads to melt the ice. Sugar only works half as well as salt however.

How many is 114 degrees Fahrenheit in celsius?

114 degrees Fahrenheit is equal to approximately 45.56 degrees Celsius.

What is 750 Fahrenheit converted in Kelvin?

750°F is equivalent to 944.82 Kelvin. To convert Fahrenheit to Kelvin, you can use the formula: K = (F + 459.67) x 5/9.

What reading that the faraniet and the degree celsius will be the same?

The Fahrenheit and Celsius scales will show the same temperature at -40 degrees, as this is the point where the scales intersect.

Does evaporation take place at 0 degrees celsius?

Yes, evaporation can occur at 0 degrees Celsius, but at a slower rate compared to higher temperatures. As long as there is enough heat energy for molecules to break free from the liquid surface, evaporation can still take place.

What is the highest temperature fire can get?

The highest temperature a typical wood-burning fire can reach is around 1,100 degrees Celsius (2,012 degrees Fahrenheit). However, certain types of fires, such as those fueled by oxygen and acetylene, can reach temperatures exceeding 2,000 degrees Celsius (3,632 degrees Fahrenheit).

What are the two miscible liquids having same boiling point?

You are asking for two liquids that share the same boiling point and dissolve in each other? The best I could find so far are allyl alcohol (97.2 C) and propyl alcohol (97.5 C). There are probably other liquids (especially organic) out there that share closer boiling points.

I also found that the elements erbium (atomic number 68) and terbium (atomic number 65) share the same boiling point--3230 C. They may or may not be miscible. I guess it's hard to tell at that temperature.

What to wear when temperature is 50 deg Fahrenheit?

It is recommended to wear layers such as a light sweater or jacket, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. You can also consider adding a scarf, hat, and gloves for extra warmth. It's important to check the weather conditions for any precipitation or wind that may impact your clothing choices.

How many degrees celsius are there in 23 degrees Fahrenheit?

23 degrees Fahrenheit = -5 degrees Celsius

Use this formula to convert degrees Fahrenheit (ºF) to degrees Celsius/Centigrade (ºC): (ºF - 32) / 1.8 =ºC

How does freezing point get calculated if boiling point of an aqueous solution is given?

You can calculate the freezing point of an aqueous solution using the equation for colligative properties: ΔTf = i * Kf * m, where ΔTf is the freezing point depression, i is the van 't Hoff factor, Kf is the cryoscopic constant of the solvent, and m is the molality of the solution. By rearranging the equation, you can solve for the freezing point.

Is a 100 degrees celsius engine water temperature safe?

A engine water temperature of 100 degrees Celsius is generally safe and within normal operating range for most vehicles. However, it is important to monitor the temperature to ensure it does not continue to rise significantly, as this could indicate a cooling system issue that needs to be addressed.

How many celsius is 100.4 f?

100.4°F is approximately 38°C. You can convert Fahrenheit to Celsius by subtracting 32 from the Fahrenheit temperature, then multiplying the result by 5/9.
