How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 1997 Acura TL?
The left and right side bulbs will need different procedures. I replaced the right (passenger) side bulb as follows:
1. Get something to protect your knuckles first. I skinned mine! 2. Use a screwdriver to gently pry off the connector. This might need a little work. Mine somehow got stuck to the prongs of the bulb and refused to come off. Eventually two of the prongs came off with it. If this happens, get a pair of pliars and pull them off later. Try not to damage the connector. 3. Peel back the black rubber gasket that covers the bulb. 4. There is an U-shaped spring clip that holds the bulb in place. Push down on the top arm of the spring and move it up and out of the latch. The spring will then rotate back out of the way. The bulb should now come out easily. 5.Put the new bulb in, make sure it sits securely. There is only one position for it to sit snug. When seated properly, the middle prong will be horizontal and above the two side prongs. 6. Put the clip back on. 7. Put the gasket back on. There is an arrow on the gasket showing the top, this is supposed to be aligned with the mark on the housing. Don't know how critical that is. 8. Now just pop the connector back on.
You are done. Be sure to test the lights.
If you are replacing the driver side light. it is a little more tight access to get in there. You may need to remove the coolant containers before you can access the headlight housing. Other than that, it should be the same.

Would a new CD player work with the Bose speakers on and 2000 Acura TL?
Actually when you replace the CD player, your sub is probably not going to work and that specific sub is hard to replace with a thin one that exists currently and so you might have to replace it with a powered sub in the trunk.
I had the problem also. Does it also happen when you start your car and it automatically die? I found out that it was my MAP sensor is bad and am going to change it right now. But yes, it is def a pain in the butt.
I finally got the issue figured out...it was a faulty ignition switch of all things! How do you get to the lights in the dashboard of a 1998 Ford F150?
It is risky fooling with the dash lights as the circuits can be damaged with static electricity. I suggest taking to a garage.
How ever, you can get a static electricity band to prevent that from happening. Most parts stores, such as Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts and O'Reillys all have the bulbs for you dash indicator lights and a good book like a Chiltons will tell you how to remove the dash.
There is a fuse you can remove but if you do not have a service manual to ID the fuse I would not recommend this. The easy way is to go to your nearest autozone and tell them your check engine light is on, the employee will hook up the hand computer to read the code. After he reads the code tell him that you want he to clear the code from your on board computer.
Inside the owner's manual it tells how to reset this check engine warning light. I have found that in my car this light comes on about every 7,000 miles, or whenever the oil should be changed. Here is how its done. While the car is off, depress both the Reset and the Select buttons up on the console near the hazard button. Keep them both depressed while you turn the engine on. Keep holding, because within 10 or fifteen seconds the check engine light will flash. This is the signal that the switch is reset and you can let go of the buttons. That's all there is to it.
In the 2001 ACURA user manual it states that it takes three drive trips to reset the check engine light and if it comes on repeatedly it should be checked. as for the SRS light it could be reset by shorting the system but not recommended I did it a few times and it could damage the engine timing control, car will run a high RPM lights will not work on your info pannel ect.

What does the sunbeam sensor on a 2003 acura t l do?
Sunbeam sensor is installed at the front ctr of the dash close to the windshield. It works in conjunction with Auto A/C. It ties in with the humidity sensor in the dash and ambient (outside temp). They all combine to communicate with the Auto A/C, telling the vent flaps of the blower unit how far to open. This feature is typically called climate control.
How do you remove the dash panel on an acura tl?
If the passenger side airbag blows, the entire dash pad must be replaced. First the entire center console has to be removed. Next all the lower front dash comes off. There is a main frame sub-assembly that supports the dash. There should be at least three 10mm bolts holding the dash in place, 2 on the right and 1 on the left. The hardest screws to be removed are near the top corner facing into the car. They will have to come out for the dash to release. All wire ties must also be cut. It is very long and labor intensive process. Good Luck

How do you disconnect the Acura handsfreelink?
It is located over your head in the panel that controls the garage, sun roof, etc. Use something flat such as a butter knife and pry on the side closest to the back of the car. Once that is down, there are 3 cables that you will disconnect. THEN you will need a 8mm socket to unscrew 4 bolts. (i used pliers) Once the 4 screws have been removed, the inner case will pop free. In that case is another cable. This is the cable that plugs directly into the HFL. Simply pull it out.
