How can you find your birth mom when it was a closed adoption?
You have a couple of options.
There are many online reunion services; they charge a fee (usually small) and only work if your birth parent(s) are actively looking for you as well.
There are some groups of people who help people search for free, and you can hire people to do the same sort of thing if you can't find anyone willing to do it for free.
You may also be able to petition the court to unseal the records; this will have various legal fees.
Breedz should be downloaded in a zipped (compressed) folder format. That's how all mine were. You can save this file anywhere you choose, as long as you know where it is and it isn't interfering with any of the game folders. For instance, I have all my downloads saved in a folder I keep on the desktop.
If you don't have winzip, you can right click the file and say 'extract all'. Winzip allows you to double click and open the zipped file like any other. inside the downloaded folder, there is a file that will end in .dog or .cat. Usually the name of the breed precedes the file extension.
When you've found this, you have to go to your hard drive, and follow the destination path of the game. For instance, you'd click on C: drive, Program Files, Ubi Soft (or PF Magic, for earlier versions) then Catz or Dogz. In here there should be a number of folders - Adopted Petz, PetzPix, Skinz, Resource etc. Click Resource and within that there should be folders like - Area, Clothez, Toys, Songz... There should also be one that is named Catz or Dogz, maybe both, depending on the game you have.
If you are downloading a Catz breed, click on the Catz folder, and vice versa. Copy and paste the .cat or .dog file you downloaded in a zip folder - not the whole folder, just the specific pet file - and open the game.
The breed you downloaded should now appear in the adoption centre.
The same steps should be taken to put new clothez, toyz or skinz into the game, just copy and paste the opened, downloaded file into the right folder in the game's destination folder.
Hope this wasn't too hard to follow! =)
Leaving your things in the old place doesn't mean you will be met with open arms. For all you know your ex could have given your things away. Still, there is always hope and perhaps your ex is waiting for you to come and get your belongings in hopes you may stay. Communication is so important, so give it a shot and phone your ex and be nice! Ask if it's OK if you come over as you still have some of your things there. If your ex sounds OK with this and pleasant to you then perhaps add, "Perhaps we could talk? Do you feel up to it?" This will give you some idea of where your ex is coming from. Good luck Marcy

At what age can you not be adopted?
In most jurisdictions, there is no specific age at which a person cannot be adopted. Adoption can occur at any age, as long as all relevant legal requirements and conditions are met. However, the likelihood of older individuals being adopted decreases as they reach adulthood and become legally independent.
How do you get your mom to sign emancipation papers without taking her to court?
You'd have to prove to the court that it would be in your best interest to be emancipated, which means you would have to have a very valid reason for it. In addition, you'd have to prove that you are capable of fully supporting yourself without any assistance. The court could require other things as well. You need to check the laws of your specific state for the requirements. Be aware that not all states have an emancipation statute.

What should somebody who has been adopted call her birth mother?
They are still just called their mother or godmother.
Another answer:
It depends on the preference of the birth mother. If she wants to be called Mother, or Mom, or Bio-Mom, or whatever -- let her choose.
You can also call her by her given name.
It's a good idea to be consistent. Refer to her in the third person with the same level of respect that you show to her face, by always using the name she prefers to be called.
Can you adopt a runaway 17 year old?
You can, BUT they either have to be wards of the state or their parents/legal gaurdians sign over parental rights to you.
If not, you could be charged with kidnapping or harboring a runaway. If the parents don't care the child is missing, they will most likely sign away their rights.
