What is an old movie of a man who fell between two walls while trying to escape prison?

In The Shawshank Redemption (R) 1994, Andy Dufresne was a banker who was supposedly wrongly accused of killing his wife and her lover. He was sentenced to a very nasty prison, set around the 1920s-1930s in the south. Because of his accounting skills, the warden makes Andy the warden's assistant. Each day, Andy "cooks the books" for the Warden's crooked enterprises, with one book showing the doctored figures, and a second book showing how much money the Warden was stealing.

But after many run-ins with the Warden, the intelligent but soft-spoken prisoner decided he would escape. He planned this for likely a year or more. He dug a large hole through the wall of his cell, covered by a poster. The hole dropped him between the walls behind 2 rows of cells. Note: He did not "fall". It was part of the escape.

The night he left, a thunderstorm started. With each crack of lightning and thunder, Andy beat a sewer pipe with a rock (covering the sound he was making). He then crawled I think 1/2 mile through sewer water and feces to a stream outside the prison wire.

During his planning, Andy redirected the Warden's stolen money into savings accounts in the city under a fictitious name and requested a birth certificate with a fake name. So after he escaped, he went to each bank to get the money. He also mailed documents to the authorities about the Warden.

Andy then goes South. Police arrive at the prison to arrest the Warden-----but.... he's a coward and kills himself. His top guards are arrested.

I believe that children should be locked up in juvenile detention center instead of going to adult jails. This allows time for reform.

Why does the sign on Alcatraz say Indians welcome?

From November 20, 1969 - June 11, 1971, over 900 Indians from numerous tribes illegally occupied the island during the famous "Indian Occupation of Alcatraz." During this time, Indian protesters demanded that unused government land, such as Alcatraz at the time, be given to the Native Americans due to the Treaty of Fort Laramie. The Native Americans did a great toll on the island. The main sign that you see at the dock is just one of many instances of their graffiti. Because Indians were commonly coming to and leaving the island, the messages "Indians Welcome" "United Indian Property" and "Indian Land" were painted on the sign to greet arriving Indians and government representatives.

When did frank morris die?

That is one of life's mysteries. All we do know is that Morris, a career criminal, escaped from Alcatraz prison in 1962. Such an escape was dangerous, and also rarely successful; but in Morris's case, he was never seen again, nor was his body recovered. (Note that some people have claimed to see him since 1962, and various TV shows have advanced a number of unproven theories, but at this point, we still do not know with certainty what happened to him.)
