Animal Rights and Abuse

It is okay to euthanize an animal but not a person because, well, most people would save a persons life before they save an animals. So, like animals can only be up for adoption for so long. After a certain amount of time, they do have to be euthanized. My point is, that in the world we live in, humans techniclly "out rank" animals. Also, there is a possibility that the chemicals in the euthanization shots could be WAY more harmful to humans, or not even effect them at all. The humane society is good to have because they offer a chance for homeless animals to be adopted into a loving family. People should adopt from humane societies because when you adopt, you save a life.

Animal Abuse; 500 animals die every day and 300 000 animals die a year from animal abuse. It is so sad... STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY!

PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. They don't particularly focus on either a Democrat or Republican platform. However, their target nemises, such as hunters, are typically conservative Republicans who wish to uphold their beliefs of the second amendment. It is important to note that just because they go against one typically Republican notion does not make their members or group Democrat.

So again, in short, they are not a party based political group, but rather an activist one.

PETA is neither democratic/republican organization..They are however classed as liberal and most importantly a Terrorists organization...

1) PETA president and co-founder Ingrid Newkirk has described her group's overall goal as "total animal liberation." This means no meat, no milk, no zoos, no circuses, no wool, no leather, no hunting, no fishing, and no pets (not even seeing-eye dogs). PETA is also against all medical research that requires the use of animals.

2) Despite its constant moralizing about the "unethical" treatment of animals by restaurant owners, grocers, farmers, scientists, anglers, and countless other Americans, PETA has killed over 14,400 dogs and cats at its Norfolk, Virginia headquarters. During 2005, PETA put to death over 90 percent of the animals it collected from members of the public.

3) PETA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals. This includes a 2001 donation of $1,500 to the North American Earth Liberation Front (ELF), an FBI-certified "domestic terrorist" group responsible for dozens of firebombs and death threats. During the 1990s, PETA paid $70,200 to an Animal Liberation Front (ALF) activist convicted of burning down a Michigan State University research laboratory. In his sentencing recommendation, a federal prosecutor implicated PETA president Ingrid Newkirk in that crime. And PETA vegetarian campaign coordinator Bruce Friedrich told an animal rights convention in 2001 that "blowing stuff up and smashing windows" is "a great way to bring about animal liberation."

4) PETA activists regularly target children as young as six years old with anti-meat and anti-milk propaganda, often waiting outside their schools to intercept them as they walk to and from class-without notifying parents. One piece of kid-targeted PETA literature tells small children: "Your Mommy Kills Animals!" PETA brags that its messages reach over 2 million children every year, including thousands reached by e-mail without the permission of their parents. One PETA vice president told the Fox News Channel's audience: "Our campaigns are always geared towards children, and they always will be."

5) PETA has used a related organization, the PETA Foundation, to fund the misnamed Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), a deceptive animal rights group that promotes itself as an unbiased source of medical and nutritional information. PCRM's president also serves as president of the PETA Foundation.

6) PETA runs campaigns seemingly calculated to offend religious believers. One entire PETA website is devoted to the claim-despite ample evidence to the contrary-that Jesus Christ was a vegetarian. PETA holds protests at houses of worship, even suing one church that tried to protect its members from Sunday-morning harassment. Its billboards taunt Christians with the message that hogs "died for their sins." PETA insists, contrary to centuries of rabbinical teaching, that the Jewish ritual of kosher slaughter shouldn't be allowed. And its infamous "Holocaust on Your Plate" campaign crassly compares the Jewish victims of Nazi genocide with farm animals.

7) PETA has repeatedly attacked research foundations like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, because they support animal-based research that might uncover cures for birth defects and life-threatening diseases. PETA president Ingrid Newkirk has said that "even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we would be against it."

Animals rely on habitats because each creature has a body structure that must have a specific diet and climate. This is why some creatures are not seen in other parts of the world.without their habitat they would die.

NO, animals do not have rights. We are doing things against their will but not against their non-existant rights.

It would be foolish to assume that animals are the same as humans as we are clearly different.

Besides animals inflict pain on others all the time, we are not exempt unless you can prove we are not animals. All animals have the will to live but not the rights, or else there would never be carnivores.

Rights are a purely human concept, it does not exist naturally, if humans were not present there would be no rights. IT is up to people to decide on what rights are.

And I'm sure animals feel pain and emotions, evolutionally it probably helped them survive, but this a matter of opinion

If i was taught dogs liked being kicked and that it was the right thing to do i would be doing it right now and it would be the right thing.

What if an animal loved to be hurt, humans have BDSM and it can be assumed that some animals also do. How can a person decide for the animal?

Animals rights do not benefit humans in any way, rather it harms humans that depend on animals, maybe not you but what about the poor, hungry, or farmer? I rather have people love me than animals as people can judge and comment on my morality.

They may also assist with making appointments and record-keeping.

For the pet owner that has to go out of town, many veterinarians will offer boarding for a certain fee each day. During this time, the animal can have a routine examination, get shots and other necessary procedures done while staying at the office. The office may also have a dog groomer on staff who can cut your pet’s hair and gives him a bath.

The veterinarian has to work in collaboration with a number of other professionals in order to provide quality services for owners and their animals. The ability to work on a team in this busy environment is one of the main requirements to work in this field. This doctor also has to have a good bedside manner and empathy with both the patient and the owner comes into the office.

They eat basically anything, some common foods are crickets, goldfish, worms and mice. The amount they eat is according to the size.

Yes they do and if we treat them right, they will treat us right.

The Maltese Terrier is a small dog which is mainly white, the Maltese hair can grown very long and silky. They have a lifespan of 12-14years. Althoough the Maltese hair can grow long like a Yorkshire terrier, many owners clip their Maltese hair. The Maltese can grown from 7.5-9 inches tall depending on the sex. When they arrive for slaughter, workers toss the crates of crying, terrified, and dying animals to the ground, a drop from as high as 10 feet that causes the animals' limbs to shatter as they crash to the ground. After they are killed and skinned, their fur is often deliberately mislabeled as fur from other species and exported to the U.S. to be sold to unsuspecting customers.

a lot because people who dont care about animals, people and the enviorment are dumping gallons and gallons of toxic waste in our oceans and on our land because they dont care and or are to lazy to get rid of it the correct way.

It is difficult to pinpoint an exact amount because there are so many cases.

People hate kangaroos because they are vicious, arrogant animals. They only care about one thing, causing mayhem! They bounce around on their tails thinking they are "all that and a bag of chips" with no regard for anyone who gets in their way. They are evil evil animals who use their hind legs and claws to destroy the scrotum of any and all who attempt to destroy their evil presence. Beware this arrogant beast…..you have been warned…
