Who is more prevalent to get anorexia teens or other age groups?
Teens. Because watch more media and want to be like the actors/actresses and the women are afraid of getting heavy set.
Bringing attention to it slightly aids it. It feeds into her idea that thinness is success and attention. HOWEVER! Ignoring it would be horrible because there are NUMEROUS medical complications that can arrise from anorexia. I would talk to her doctor and a psychologist.
Does anaorexia nervosa only occurs in wommen?
No.
About 10% or 1 out of 10 of those who suffer from anorexia nervosa are male.
Where is the battery located at in my 2008 lamborghini murciélago?
Check it under the hood... yeah.. you got it..
When I was about 18 years old, I thought about this. I was overweight by about 40lbs. I thought to myself, if thin people can purge and get scary skinny why can't I purge and get to a healthy weight? I decided to give it a go. At first it was a little strange, but I started to feel better after puking. It removed all guilt I had about eating large portions. I didn't throw up everything I ate. Only when i ate a large dinner or junk food. In about 6-8 weeks I had dropped 35lbs. The scale at GNC said I was only 2lbs over my ideal weight. I was so happy. Nobody asked how I did it. My husband wasn't concerned either. Everyone was just blown away. Especially people that I hadn't seen in a couple months. I was so thin and everyone told me how great I looked. I had reached my goal and decided to stop purging. It was rough to go back to eating normal because I still had that voice in my head and that full feeling in my stomach made me want to puke, but I stopped. As the years passed I gradually put weight back on, just 5 lbs or so a year. Now i am 35lbs over my ideal weight and I have been at the same weight for about 3 or 4 years. I was happy with my body for the most part. I wish I could get back to those thin days. Last fall I dropped a few pants sizes from stress and I loved how I looked. I gained it all back very suddenly and now I am once again unhappy with how I look. My clothes no longer fit and it's depressing. Last week I began purging again for the first time in 10 years. I already feel like I'm losing weight again. And once more, when I reach the weight I want to be, I will stop, but this time I think I will adopt more healthy eating habits. I make sure I drink plenty of fluids and take vitamins every night. I drink milk and never purge when I've eaten a small amount. I don't want my body to think I'm starving because it will slow the process. I am in no way advocating bulimia. It's only something that works for me, and if you're smart about it then it won't kill you. I suffered no adverse health effects from the 2 months I was bulimic and I don't think I will this time around either. I'm just very proud of myself for having the guts to give it another go. It's not for the faint of heart, I can tell you that.
not very long. you need to atleast eat a cup of veggies and fruits a day, maybe a piece of meat. ice cream only counts as carbs and dairy/calcium. the water part is good but add some veggies and fruits in with it, that would be much healthier than eating just ice cream.

Where has anorexia originated from?

Should you date an anorexic girl?
She will be very demanding and want privacy a lot, she probably would mind if you left the room while you eat, she will need accurate scales. Don't ask her questions about her weight and why she doesn't eat, it won't help her. Anyone suffering from anorexia hates their body and can't see why anyone else would like it so may not want to date.
It's up to you but you should really think about it, if you do decide to, you may get annoyed at how her emotion can be, and if you dump her, she may think she's too fat and not eat.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
What is the world bank trying to do to help anorexia sufferers?
Nothing directly.
The World Bank is a source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. Their mission is to fight poverty with passion and professionalism for lasting results and to help people help themselves and their environment by providing resources, sharing knowledge, building capacity and forging partnerships in the public and private sectors.
Of all the challenges that are associated with poverty, Anorexia is fairly low on the list, and the Bank focus its efforts on larger, broader, and more systemic projects. Given that there are other significant global organizations who focus on medical and health issues (such as the World Health Organization), the bank is under very little pressure to address the issue of anorexia.
Anorexia is different from malnutrition and the Bank does have programs in place to address malnutrition.
If you dont eat can you belly get larger?
Yes. There is a condition where the stomach digests and produces gases, but since there is no or little food to digest, the stomach produces to much of the gases and the stomach will expand and distend as a result.
How do you starve yourself if you want to lose about 22 pounds really fast?
You don't - this is a very unhealthy way to think and try and lose weight not to mention very dangerous. Chew sugarless gum. Ring a friend, etc. - do something that makes you stop thinking about food. No junk food. It takes some will power, and people will say that it's unhealthy, but, here goes. Drink fluids instead of eating food. That can be anything you can drink, Cokes and Pepsis included, they have syrup to keep you up; except they do have a lot of sugar. But, it still goes through you faster than food, and that's what you want. You want nothing to stick to you! Do it with water, any juice you like a lot, like cranberry, orange juice, apple. If you have to sink your teeth into something, eat fruit, worst case a salad. Also, throw three different kinds of fruit in a blender with a banana and you have a great shake, or malt, or smoothie or whatever you want to call it. If you have the budget, buy a real smoothie. The side effect is you may feel slightly spaced or light headed once in a while. If you can look past that, you're losing weight, and quickly too!!!
