If one has a mental illness can they be evicted?

In my state it is illegal to evict a mentally ill person. A eviction can take place if the person is delinquent on the rent. It is wrong to discriminate. When it is an illness it is not the person's fault. Get a lawyer and seek legal counseling. I am not a lawyer but one can help you immensely.

How do you stop an anxiety attack?

Here are some proven techniques to stop a panic attack:

  • Breathe! Deep breathing floods your brain with oxygen and calms you down. It is physically impossible to panic when you are breathing deeply because of this fact.
  • Talk yourself down. Instead of focusing on your anxiety, make yourself think calm thoughts. "This is just anxiety and it will pass" is a good one. "I can choose not to panic" is another one.
  • Learn relaxation techniques. The better you handle your stress, the less panic you will have. Any form of meditation will help you learn to relax.
  • Reframe. When you have an anxious thought, change it around into a positive, healthy thought instead. If you think "I'll never be able to do this," change that into "REALISTICALLY, I might not do a fantastic job at this, but I can do it if I try." The word REALISTICALLY is an important one - the more logical you can be, the more sense it makes and the more easily your brain can change a negative thought into a positive one.

That is severe anxiety symptoms. Panic attack would urge you to go to ER. 1. Read books about social phobia 2. Put them to practice in a daily basis 3. Get as many positive & successful experiences & feedbacks as possible 4. Best wishes.

How do you get rid of math anxiety?

I never suffered from Math Anxiety, or Test Anxiety, although I have observed people who have. I knew of one student who had Test Anxiety so badly, his math professor in his Junior College, when it came test time, would tell the student, "Here. Fill this out." That worked for that student; he would fill out the paper and hand it in, and do well on it. If he was told it was a test, he'd freeze and fail.

I have a cavity and am so scared about getting it filled Im crying non stop and really dont want to get it filled what do i do?

It's completely normal to feel anxious about dental procedures, but there are ways to manage your fear. Try talking to your dentist about your concerns; they can explain the process and may offer sedation options to help you relax. Consider bringing a supportive friend or family member with you for comfort, and practice deep breathing exercises to calm your nerves. Remember that getting the cavity filled will help prevent further pain and dental issues in the future.

Are there any anxiety medications that are safe to drink alcohol with?

For purposes of liability I am not advising you what to do relative to your question. I will make some general assumptions:

1. "Anxiety Medications" = prescription only (e.g. Benzodiazepines - XANAX, Valium) classified schedule IV (C-IV) of Controlled Substances Act of 1970. It is unwise to misuse psychotrophic (mood/mind-altering) medications because of the potential for dependency and addiction.

2. "drink alcohol" = drinking alcoholic beverages.

3. "Safe" = Unimpaired behavior? Driving?

Alcohol is a depressant - by its nature it affects the human Central Nervous System (brain, spinal cord). Consider a Dose-Response curve. When you ingest anti-anxiety (or any) medication, the "dose" will have an effect or "response" over time based on chemical reactions in the bloodstream. When you introduce another drug or chemical (alcohol, in this case) you change the environment. A "safe" dose of drug "X" may become unstable because alcohol will either activate or inhibit the same cells affected by the drug. To use an appropriate analogy, driving safely at 30 mph in "normal" conditions may be dangerous in heavy rain on a slick road in the dark.

See the links below. April 2011 is Alcohol Awareness Month. NHTSA's "Talking Points" is informative. Check out the Medline Plus link for treatment options and diagnosis for anxiety.

If I am unable to feel shame what does that mean?

I would suggest you to visit your dermatologist and have your skin tested. I think your suffering from some sort of skin disorder which made your skin thicker without realizing it. Maybe you need some lotion or cream to make it a bit thiner if not try to rub it against the wall. Hope this would help.

What is the best way to convince a doctor to give you scripts for Ativan or Xanax for anxiety when they never seam to trust you?

This is a tough question to answer without more information. I have had doctors who had a general attitude of distrust that I suspect was a defense against being found out that they didn't know their craft. These doctors don't listen, don't give much thught in to treatment, etc. they are not worth keeping, and if that is what you mean, then move on. However, if you have given a doctor reason not to trust you ( like you have a history of addiction) then well, that is one of the consequences that come with the territory.

Obviously, you tell a doctor whatver your symptoms are and ask for their advice. They should then either offer advice or refer you to someoe who can better do that. If you say anxiety, then they should offer a solutio, which, if you see an old school doctor, will be medication of some sort. If you see a truly up to date doctor, they will discuss whatever other symptoms or disorders you have, and then suggest micronutrient testing to find out if your neurotransmitters are off. If, for example, you either don't eat much protein, or don't digest protein well, then that will affet your neurotransmitters, which will knock your dopamine and seritonin levels off. Antianxiety meds address seritonin, but does not address the other damage that happens to your body when you don't get enough protein 9or whatever it is your body lacks.

What we have come to call traditional medicine offers short term half fixes of things that are already broken. Functional medicine offers a chance to make yourself healthy so that you aren't anxious to begin with.

I recommend you find a medical doctor who is also trained in functional medicine. They will run tests to find out why your neurotransmiters are off. In the meantime, they will likely give you some medication to help you deal with whatver symptoms you have.

Why would a shy girl say she is embarrassed by her crush instead of saying she is embarrassed being around him?

The shy girl may feel more comfortable attributing her embarrassment to her crush rather than admitting to feeling shy or nervous around him directly. By blaming her crush for her feelings, she can avoid the vulnerability of admitting her own emotions. Additionally, she may believe that saying she is embarrassed by him provides a clearer explanation for her behavior.
