ASVAB Test

It is a good score. But alot of factors can make it more or less dramatic. The ASVAB test scores the test differently if you are a female or male. With an 82, you make it to the II category. Almost I but not quite! ;) I made an 82 also and im a girl in high school 11th grade so compare it to me and see how you think you did! But it is still a good score reguardless! Goodluck!

31 is the minimum for the General Technical (GT) score, out of a possible 130.

ASVAB scores apply the same to all of the different branches. No conversions are required. However from talking to recruiters from all 5 branches, I can say that each branch will look at your score a little differently when it comes to what you will or will not qualify for. I have worked with recruiters from every branch and seen this take place. The AS in ASVAB stands for Armed Services, so your AFQT ( overall score - Armed Forces Qualifying Test I believe), applies to every branch

not sure but since Mensa says 136 puts you in top 2% it would probably be roughly 136/98=139 so there is that. Someone scoring over 139 would imply unusually high score. I was in the army records division and as I recall there was a guy in our division who scored a 151. Real nice guy. I was second to him but way down as mine was 136

That is the current minimum score that you can have to join the United States Navy. 31 is the miminum score for the Naval Reserves.

With a score of 35, you would most likely no qualify for any "A" schools so you would become an undesignated seaman, airman, or fireman upon completion of basic training (boot camp).

the pros are very little and the only one i can think of is it helps to keep students on track with their grade level standards but it takes time away from teaches to teach vital subjects and it takes all year to prepare students for the test. the test measures the students ability to learn and the teachers ability to teach. Students who are moe gifted than others aren't challenged because the test is supposed to measure if they are right on track with their grade level learning standards and it does not push the gifted students so it pushes the gifted students to go for mediocrecy not above and beyond. Also the schools that aren't doing well with their test scores funds are cut which causes the students to fall behind because they don't have the enough money to afford new textbooks and computers so the students can learn what they need to pass the test.

For a man 28 is the highest handicap you can have, so anything over 28 over par will give you a 28 handicap. Say CSS = PAR every week, you will need to consistently shoot 27 over par to get cut to 27.

You would need to speak with a career counselor at the MEPS to determine that. Keep in mind that, if you decide to enlist, you'll be taking the ASVAB again at MEPS, so if you just pencil whipped it for the sake of simply getting through it and getting it over with, you'll have another shot at it.

I don't think so, but I do know that recruit centers have a study group thing you can go to an they can help you, well, for the marines I know they do that haha..

They are two different tests. The asvab is s military based test; therefore there is different vocabulary. I recommend studying for the test you take. If taking the asvab you can get study guides on post.

Not exactly sure what would happen, but you would still be able to join the military if your general score is high enough
