What entertains a baby?

There are many things you can do to keep a 3 year old busy. One thing, you can use what can be known as the Electronic Babysitter aka The TV, switch it on then either put it onto a children's channel for them to watch, or play a DVD of their choice-providing it's within their age range of course. The TV could keep the child amused for a while, though it has limited time & usability.

Other things you could do are: Play a game or two such as Hide 'n' Seek, I spy, play with their toys with them. You could take the child out on a fun trip to the park.....it's fun for them, cold for you, but you can soon warm up back home especially if you leave your heating on when you go out, then you both get a warm place when you go back.

You could take the 3 year old out to London (money permitting), there are a number of free museums you could take them to such as The Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood, this could give you a chance to remember some of the toys you used to play with, you get to interact with some of the old toys, there is a children's workshop with arts & crafts in it.

You could read a book or two to the 3 year old, have them read to you & help them with any difficult words, explaining things as you go along.

If you are able to cook, and have the patience, then how about taking your 3 year old into the kitchen to make some simple cakes, this can be fun for you both & also quite amusing. Beware that your kitchen will end up looking like a tip & you are likely to end up exhausted, but hopefully you will have some tasty cakes at the end, but the down side is the cleaning up afterwards.

You could check your local cinema to see what children's films are showing again this is a money permitting thing, but most cinemas have a Saturday morning children's club thing where by the tickets are a lot cheaper than normal, and this can also be found in the school holidays.

You can go out on a mission to find things such as leaves, twigs, conkers, pine cones, wild flowers, tree bark etc. Put these into a bag to take home, then use them to make models, pictures aka collages. If you take sandwiches etc with you, it can become a bit of a picnic too.

You can make models from old toilet roll middles, kitchen roll middles, egg boxes, cereal boxes, shoe boxes etc, obviously you use the scissors & glue, or you supervise the child with them - childrens scissors can be purchased & pritt sticks can be used for less messy glue. Glitter can be used to brighten the models up, shops such as Hobby Craft will have loads of stuff for this sort of thing. It does not need to be expensive.

You can make a papiér maché model, using old newspapers & either cheap wallpaper paste, or flour & water paste, both will dry well & allow for painting. You simply tear up the paper, put it into the paste ensure the paper is well coated, then using something from the list above, put the pasted paper onto it, build up the layers, shape them, then leave to dry, next paint the models. Paint for this sort of thing can be bought from places like Hobby Craft (no I'm not on commission for promoting them)

You can encourage the child to play at 'Dressing up' either using your clothes or cheap old clothes say from a charity shop, they can then make up stories about the people they think they have dressed up as.

You can get a very large cardboard box and fill it with balloons, then allow the 3 year old to play about as they choose. You can also get the child to pretend that the box is a car, boat, rocket, spaceship, lorry etc and they and you can have 'adventures' in this vehicle.

You can get an old bed sheet or two, drape them over a table or chairs and make tents with them, and encourage the Childs imagination.

In your garden (if you have one) you can make a small bonfire, to toast marshmallows over using long sticks to put them on and keeping the child at a safe distance from the fire. This is good for keeping you warm, but should always have more than one adult for supervision, and have buckets of water near by for end of bonfire or in case of emergencies.

A summer thing is to buy a disposable BBQ and go down the beach for a BBQ on the sand with food of your choice.

Make a 'Treasure hunt' where by you place things around the home for the 3 year old to find, this can be adapted for indoor and outdoor hunting. Use something the child will want to find, such as sweets, chocolate, cakes or crisps etc. Food does not have to be used, but perhaps a series of easy clues with the last one leading to a new toy, game etc.

A Toys 'Tea party' can be had with you, the 3 year old and some of their favourite toys, oh and of course some food and drink.

You can get plain paper and crayons, felt tip pens or paints and let the child use their imagination to create pictures, you can paint their hands and feet creating pictures with those, use washing up sponges, bath sponges or potato's (don't eat after you have painted them) to make print pictures with.

If you get crayons take the paper off, then using the crayon sideways, create pictures by taking rubbings from things like tree bark, manhole covers, tables, benches, the floor in your garden or kitchen etc. Anything with a rough surface to take a rubbing from.

You can also use dried pasta such as Macaroni to make 'Jewellery' and also collages. You can also make musical instruments, with boxes, tubes, plastic bottles partly filled with dried rice, pasta etc.

Hope this all helps you to have a rather busy and entertained 3 year old.

How can you receive a baby boy?

3 easy steps:

1. The Right Diet: Y sperm require an enivornment that is alkalai in nature, while X sperm need more acid. The PH levels of your body determine how thick the cervical discharge is and whether or not the desired sperm will be able to get through successfully.

2. The Right Time: The timing of when you have intercourse can greatly affect the gender of your child. Because the Y sperm need to reach the egg as quickly as possible, it is necessary to time intercourse to the day that you ovulate to increase your chances of having a boy. They will be able to reach the egg while it and they are still viable.

3. The Right Position: The position you choose for intercourse can also determine the sex of your child. Once again, we fall back to the differences between sperm. The Y sperm need to reach their destination in as little time as possible. This means that they need to be released as close to the cervix as possible, shortening the trip they must take to the egg. Positions that allow for deep penetration are ideal.

The method is 100% natural, 100% risk free and above all,

Can a 10 year old have a baby?

It's possible but not likely, and certainly not encouraged because it would have led from illegal and immoral activity with a child.

How do you teach a toddler his name?

from the age of 5 months I used to play with my little girl (Dua)esp during feed times; I would say 'Where's Dua', 'Where's Dua' and pretend to look everywhere for about half a minute; and then finally look at her and say 'there's Dua' - that I think is what taught her her name. she is now 8+ months and I still do it everyday. Now when she is playing I say 'Dua' and either she answers with a sound (if she is sitting where I can't see her) or turns and looks at me.

How do you stop a baby from crying?

It is very hard to get your child to stop crying but, this might help.

First thing you do is check it's diaper.

If it hasn't used the bathroom

Then you make a bottle.

If the bottle doesn't help.

Then walk around the house singing your baby a lullaby.

If that doesn't help

Then go see your doctor.

It might have a tooth infection or something.

How do you wash baby clothes?

I washed my baby clothes along with the other household clothes (using fabric softener) and had no problems. Some babies, however, are highly sensitive or allergic to some laundry detergents, fabric softeners, etc. If your baby develops a rash, this may be the case and your pediatrician should offer some advice on laundering your baby's clothes.

What do you feed a wild baby mouse with closed eyes?

Answer
Well if you find a baby mouse with no fur what you should feed it is luke warm puppy or kitten milk (not cow milk, that can cause diarrhea) using a syringe. If you don't have a syring, you can use a piece of string until you can get one, just soak it in the milk until a drop forms at the end. If the baby mouse does not drink it take it to the closest RSPCA.

How do kangaroos care for their babies?

The first thing the mother kangaroo (jill or doe) does for her newborn joey is to prepare a path for it to crawl from the birth canal to the pouch. She does this by licking the fur down flat. The act of licking the fur also stops the tiny, hairless joey from drying out.

Once the joey reaches the pouch, it latches onto a teat which swells in its mouth. It stays there for six-seven months (depending on the species of kangaroo) until it is ready to become more independent. Another joey may be born in the meantime, but the mother kangaroo is able to produce two different types of milk to meet the different needs of her two young joeys.

Can a baby do a cartwheel?

It depends on the gymnastics level of the child or teen. You learn a cartwheel at level 1 gymnastics, so it just depends on what level of gymnastics they are on.

How long can a new born baby hold its breathe under water?

*CORRECTION TO PREVIOUS ANSWER

A baby CAN hold its breath under water, but only up to a certain point. It's called mammalian diving reflex. New born babies have this reflex, and will hold their breath and open their eyes under water - though I admit I do not know for what length of time. There are even classes that encourage such "swimming" with parent/newborn teams to try and instill a love of swimming at such a very young age.

Can babies swim in a saltwater pool?

it depends on whether the person is salt sensitive or not. in my pool some people say they can taste a salt flavor in the pool water and other people can't taste anything. it also depends on the type of chlorine generator you have installed some systems require more salt than others to operate so if you are salt sensitive look for a system that requires a lower level of salt to operate correctly. my system operates at 2900 ppm to 4000 ppm when i keep it at the higher end of the range more people can taste the salt than if i keep it at the lower end. hope this helps

Can a hospital tell me if a baby was born?

No doubt they know this type of information but it is unlikely that they would breleasse itHospitals have strict rules on who gets told what about patients. Generally the only people that get told are relatives or people who the patient has identified as permitted visitor. There is also a lit of people the patirnt forbids being told any thing or allowing to visit. The reason is to prevent conflict in the hospital as some people are not honourable in their intentions for what to do with the information or for the visit. Just wanting to know is not a good enough reason. Thinking you have a need or right to know isn't good enough either.
