During the attack on Pearl Harbor the U.S.S Nevada tried to make a run for it but they were damaged and too close to the harbor entrance to make it without blocking all passage in or out of the harbor. They chose to ground near the hospital to keep the harbor entrance open and have a chance to save the ship.
I have a Klamath boat that I want to sell. However, I have lost the Ownership Certificate. I have sent a "Lien Satisfied/Title Holder Release" for Nations Credit Commercial Corporation to fill out -- sent on March 29, 2012. Can you please respond ASAP.

You can check with your dealer, but I don't think you will find one new. If I needed to extend the shifter, I would go to a salvage yard and find one of the proper length then have the stick welded onto the base of your stick; with a professional job no one would know it was done. This would not be that hard to do vs changing the shifter mechanism itself. I hope this helps you. Mark
It can be several things. Here are a few simple (cheap) things to check
1. Does the boat have a sub floor that has filled with water?
2. Is the motor trimmed in?
3. Are you using the correct pitch propeller? Once planed does the engine rev to manufacturer's specification?
4. Is the bottom of the boat "bowed" or have a "rocker" as opposed to concaved which would make the boat plow.
Without a motor, with trailer 1000 to 1200. add about 400 for a 115 horse motor, and gas. so... between 1300-1800 lbs somewhere I beleive
I saw one today with a 115 and some on line with more than that.
I'm not familiar with specs. of the 4.0 V-6. What I can tell you is I pulled my boat (1999 Stratos 17.5' 150 Evinrude) from S.E. Minnesota (Winona) to Yellowstone (1150m) with a LOADED down 1996 Chev. Astro van with a 4.3L V-6, auto and I dragged the same boat twice to Port Mansfield, TX. (1550m), once with a 1999 Ford F-150 4x4 with a V-6, 4 spd., in the 285 C.I. range (don't remember exactly) and once with a 2003 Chev. Silverado 4x4 with a 288 C.I. V8, auto. Had no problems on any of the trips. You won't win any races, but it can be done. Pulling it out at the landing would be my biggest concern. Boats that size are very heavy. BTW, The F-150 also had a large, cab-over, slide-in camper to carry along. Hope hat might help. Also, 3 months ago, I was looking at a Ford Escape at the dealer's and I asked if it could handle a boat that heavy. They didn't say no... but they also didn't say yes, either!
If you are fishing from the bank. Can you get the some reading. The you in a boat.
Same boat. Mine has a 25 gallon tank between batteries
The easiest way to get the history of a boat is go to boathistoryreport.com and enter in the HIN (hull identification number) and you can find the boat's history report. See if it has been in an accident, damaged in a hurricane, run aground, salvaged, submerged, seized, environmental lien, In a fire, in a collision. I've used boathistoryreport.com a lot and it has always worked great.
For a quick temporary fix, wire brush leak inside and outside and apply waterproof silicone sealer. (both sides...let dry)
first remove all equip from boat, flip it upside down onto saw horses, check for loose rivits, ,[first purchase some alum brazing rods,] can be found at harbor freight, you will need a steel or copper wire brush, and a MAP gas torch, locate where the leak might be comming from, wire brush the area good, heat the area with torch, when the alum brazing rod starts to melt when [scratched] on the area put a thin layer on it then wire brush it while heating it, then fill in the area.or follow directions on rod usage.
Usually the serial number is on a tag mounted on the bracket that holds the outboard engine to the boat.
Pretty vague question, but if you can, laminate a new surface to the old one. If not, rip it out and put in a new one.
never laminate to the old one this adds weight you already have extra weight from the rooten floor. remove old floor careful not to damage the stringers under the floor 3/4 plywood marine grade a-b screw only to the stringer glass in the sides
