There are a lot of different brands of beach cruisers on the market now. A few are sixthreezero, Electra, Nirve and Firmstrong. Electra is considered by most to be the highest quality cruisers but a lot of there models use the same components as both sixthreezero and Nirve. sixthreezero beach cruisers is a smaller more boutique brand of cruiser bike and they've gotten quite a following in the last few years. In addition, Electra Bikes have become expensive for the cruiser market, some of the cruisers being as expensive as $600, which is the same for Nirve. sixthreezero prices tend to be in the $240 - $399 range and the components used on the bikes are almost identical to that on Electra bicycles. Also, I personally prefer the look and design of the sixthreezero models, more simple and classic.

Since your question was in the Bus and Train category, I'll limit my responses to that. From the airport, you should take the R1 airport line to downtown Philadelphia. The train will stop at 30th Street Station. Here you can transfer to the New Jersey Transit Atlantic City rail line. If you want to go somewhere other than Atlanic City, stay on the R1 until you get to Market East Station (two stops after 30th Street). From there, you can walk over to the Greyhound bus station at 10th & Filbert and hop a bus to any of the shore towns.

Driving directions to Folly Beach, S Carolina, From Columbia, SC...124 mi – about 2 hours 9 mins. Its pretty much a direct shot if you get on I-26 and go southeast. Or Myrtle Beach is 147 miles and 2 hours and 45 mins. It's a longer trip, but definitely more to do there.

Inthe 30 years that i have visited the beach the summer time waves seem to be no more than a height of 18 inches or so .

yes you can in the month of april-jun any body can swim because the water level will be very low..u can walk or swim upto 1km from shore into the ocean..but do not go alone,avoid drinks.,etc

you can swim just opposite to thiruvalikeni station or kannagi statue rest other sides are very dangerous for all kind of swimmers.There is NO life guards the fisher mens olny will help you out ....

childrens are strictly not allowed to swim because the currents are to high.

Lower you tire pressure and avoid the soft dry sand. Stay on the packed stuff and know your route. (Hope you have a compressor as the lower pressure on dry pavement kills your tires sidewalls) Never go alone. Ensure you have the usual safety gear including a winch and tow straps. Install a tow coupler in your reciever. If you don't understand what I'm talking about then don't go! (please)
