fuel pump is located under the right rear passenger seat, pull up hard on the bottom cushion on the rear seat and it should pop out, under some insulation there should be a round metal cover with 4 nuts, remove nuts and remove panel, you will see fuel lines and connector, that's the fuel pump/sending unit assembly, (fuel pump located inside of right side fuel tank)

-or clog in coolant system

Typical causes for this car to overheat would be blown head gasket, coolant leak, thermostat frozen in closed position, failed fan clutch, failed auxillary fan or auxillary fan switch, blockage in radiator or coolant lines or an oil leak.

In general:

5 series 1993 and earlier with the big six cylinder (m30 3.5 l)

3 series 1991 and earlier with the m20, 2.5 l.

I have had experience with the e30 and e34 chassis models and both are great with the proper maintenance. Remember, even a good car needs proper care and will fall apart without it.

Stay away from the later BMW's. They are nowhere near as reliable.

on most inline BMW engines, the thermostat housing in located on the front of the engine, drivers side, in front of the intake manifold, between the airbox and fan. there are coolant hoses going in the bottom and the side.

You need to remove the valve cover ((V8) motor) and remove the spark plug coils, then you can change the plugs.

Discharged battery Bad wiring connection, positive or negative Immobiliser fault Faulty ignition switch.

Make sure that the replacement lamps are the correct and same wattage.

Remove the 5 amp fuse from the fuse block in the glove box and temporarily install a 10amp fuse and turn ignition on and check lights.

The fault should have reset and therfore replace the fuse with a 5amp fuse.
