Just pull up on the bottom part should pop right off. Then for the back there will be a few bolts to remove then slide it up and off.

The easiest way is to get hold of a little reseting tool that can be found on ebay. it resets the servicing lights

Standing in front of the car with the hood open it is on the right side of the engine compartment right in the front, it should sit like a foot away from your right leg. look for what looks like a power steering fluid can, it's made out of plastic and you have to turn it open and pull the filter out. The filter sits in all this oil. make sure you also replace the plastic O ring that comes with the filter, that goes around the lid. you don't need any tools at all to pull it out is all done with your hands. hope I was of help.

Its a factory security number to prevent the filchering of the radio

The codes vary from BMW radio to radio depending on the serial number located on the back of the radio.

If you lose battery power, the radio resets itself (supposedly to prevent theft) and a 6 digit code needs to be input into the radio to re-activate it.

You need to take the BMW to your local dealer and they'll remove the radio, input the serial # into their system and it will relay what the 6 digit code is.

Make sure the car has a service history and check the stamps. Check that there isn't any blue smoke coming from the exhaust when you start it.

Use the key, are you kidding? The central locking system won't work, but you CAN open all of the doors and trunk with the key. If you don't have the key, get to your local BMW dealer and see if you can get a key code from which they will be able to cut you a key. It is an older car, so you may need to take the key code to a locksmith who can also cut the key for you. If this doesn't get you out of your jam, drop me an e-mail @ jayboyskis@mswn.com. Just run it a while then let it cool and check the radiator. Keep it full and make sure the reservoir is properly filled. After you've run the engine a few times it will take care of itself.

vitually all spark plugs are pre-gapped today, eliminating the need for this. If for some reason you do need this info, go to the library and look it up in Chilton's, or online.

On my 1994 325ic,i pull the lever under the driverside rear seat,then turn release handle at top of windshield.Standing on the side of the car lift the top back and rear of the top should start to lift up.grab the back and lift the boot cover then pull roof back into the conpartment.Mine boot cover doesnt lock down so i use zip ties to hold it down until i find whats wrong with my roof motors.Someone told me that after pulling lever the electric motors have to be reset.I,m still looking for instructions to do this.Hope this helps.
