Which color represents the day of the week for the tie of the day of the freshness of the bread?

i use this method every time i buy bread: monday-blue, tuesday-green,wednesday- orange, thursday-red, friday-yelow and weekend-white. if you can't remember, they are in order of the alphabet. so i say the alphabet and then i can figure out what color goes with the day i need bread. Also, the freshest breads/rolls/buns are usually put behind the older bread so check the back row. this method is better than 'squeezing' the loaf.

How do you toast almond slivers?

There are two main methods of toasting slivered almonds. The first would be to toast them in the oven in a single layer on a foil covered cookie sheet at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes, then stir them and cook for another 5 minutes until they are a light toasty brown and you can smell the aroma of toasted almond.

The second way to toast them is to place them in a dry frying pan over medium heat and stir them often to prevent burning while they cook. They will be done in just 2 to 3 minutes. They should look a light toasty brown and you should be able to smell the aroma as you do with baked almond slivers.

What is bread in Italian?

,

the italian wird for "bread" is "pane"... although this doesn't tell much about the importance of bread in the Italian culture and eating habits.

Not only does it exist in multiple forms and shapes throughout the Peninsula, it is so historically important in the nutrition of the Italian people, that even today in Italy it is told "pane e companatico", meaning "bread and whatever-else-comes-with-bread".

Presence of bread on the table was fundamental, as everything else was so scarcely available on a regular basis that was almost only meant to accompany the bread...

If you are curious to know more about the italian bread and the different forms, may I suggest you visit my page (linked below.) It is not at all an exhaustive list of the italian breads in existence, but it is a start!

It would be very unusual to get sick from any microbes found in bread. The yeasts that cause bread to rise are not toxic or harmful in any way. If a loaf of bread were badly spoiled and moldy, it would not be healthy, but it isn't likely anyone would eat badly molded bread.
