I don't think they would induce someone because of back pains. But two weeks early isn't always early. The due date can be off by two weeks before or after. It is an educated guess. I can't guess if she fibbed about the due date or not because two weeks isn't a lot when counting the due date.

I am 43 years of age I had my 1st pregnancy a year ago... My doctor induced my labor because of lower back pain... Regardless of when this women had sex, due dates are not exact a women can go into labor up to 3 weeks (37 weeks pregnant) befor her due date or 2 weeks post due date (42 weeks) and still be considered full term.. If the guy is so worried that the baby isn't his then maybe he should get a paternity test done... If He has already put his name on the birth certificate, and the baby isn't his then he'll be legally obligated regardless of the child's paternity..

I was with my last one. I couldn't sleep and they reasoned that it was better to induce me and me have the energy to push him out, then to keep him in and have me too exhausted to do it.

I apologize for not mentioning that this woman was 42 years old at the time of conception, and the man that she claimed was the father had used a condom the one time they had sex. Actually a physican will induce labor if he/she chooses to regardless of it being high risk or no. I have several friends who have had preeclampsia and/or gestational diabetes and the majority were induced. Now the behavior of this particular lady is rather suspicious. But honestly, as a pregnant woman being 39 weeks, my doctor has already suggested stripping my membranes to help me out since my child has been dropped for some time and my pubic bone and entire pelvis is so sore I cannot sleep for more than 2 hours a night.

The danger in taking too long to get to the hospital after your water breaking is the possibility that you will have the baby before you get there, which can be dangerous. Labor can go quickly after the amniotic sac breaks, so it is best to get to the hospital as soon as possible.

Yes it can. Actually mine broke with my first child, I did not know, it was like a glass of water, it was trickling all day. After about 10 hours I sat down after my college class and I thought about it. I know I was wet all day and I was too busy to notice it. I went to my Obgyn and he said he thought my water broke, they checked and said that it did. They hurried me to the hospital to induce me.

You are not 12 months pregnant unless you are an elephant. A pregnancy only lasts for 9 months. I suggest you seek help from a doctor or a counselor.

well....... i am on my forth pregnancy now, i am 39 weeks, i took caster oil with my third and labour began with in 2-3 hours after taking it, but this time around i have tried it all currys, treadmill, sex, even caster oil but none of the above has worked, so i really dont think you can start yourself off, it will just happen when it is ready too, and there will be some people who will disagree but that is my theaory, as i would have swore by caster oil last time and this time it did nothing, my body just must have been ready for it then.......

The answer is yes. I currently have a daughter whose water broke at 26 weeks and she is now at 29 weeks and in the hospital until she delivers. The baby continues to make the fluid and her head is down close to where the hole in the sac is located. There is risk of infection, of course, but she had a round of anti-biotics. Another consideration is the baby's position in relation to the cord, so she is put on the baby monitor regularly. They are trying to get her to 34 weeks, and she has been through some contractions, but none that would make delivery necessary. As she also has placenta previa, her occasional bleeding is more of a problem than the water breaking. Infection is a reason deliver, and also if the baby is experiencing distress on the monitor.

So, yes, the water can break and in my daughter's case, she is still pregnant and hoping for every day "Ann" gets to stay in the womb!

There is no set time. Could be long, could be short. There are to many variables here to make a prediction.

The maximum time should be 24 hours, longer than that and you have the problem of infection.

DO NOT DO THAT!!! that could be very dangerous for the baby's health. The water will break when it's time. If it breaks too early it could be detrimental to the baby.

Should be right after, since normally water breaks after you feeling contractions in minutes apart as sign of early labor phase
