Are there advantages to the one-parent family? Not to my knowledge. But there are lots of disadvantages. Actors including Camryn Manheim, Calista Flockhart and Jodie Foster, by adoption or by birth, placed single motherhood in the national spotlight, gracing the covers of Us and People magazine. And the character Rachel from the hit television series Friends, upon finding herself pregnant, decided to have her baby alone: "It's the child she wants, not necessarily the husband." Given the public acceptance of these notable single mothers by choice, it would seem that this version of the new millennium family has found a suitable home in the United States. It depends on how the relationship was before you broke up/why you brokeup/how long the breakup lasted.

If he wants you back and things were good before you broke up and no one cheated on anyone...whyd you break up with him...things sound perfect.

But most likely that's not the case.

If the relationship was bad from the start, trust issues even after a while then maybe this guy just isn't ready for a relationship or someone has trust issues with the other.

If yall dated for a while and just broke up because yall were bored than maybe trying again but being more romantic, exciting, or doing things that you both like together will spruce up things when you try again.

You really just have to think about what you want, what he wants, and where you will stand in the relationship and how big a role the relationship will be in your life.

Just stay aware of why you broke up and howthings worked before. THis should give some insight into how things could be diffrent or the same.

what you have to do in situations like those is simply put your foot down. I know that it may seem hard and that you don't have the strength to, but it is what you have to do. Lord Byron, a famous poet, once said, "Absence- the common cure of love." Sometimes you have to just think about your own well being and not worrying about hurting them and doing what you know in your heart is best for you not in the short run, but in the long run. Always look at the bigger picture in life.
