Since you say "mutual break up," it can only be assumed that neither of you wanted to commit to this relationship and you both wanted to end it. So even if this is true, after two years of such a close relationship, perhaps this boy simply feels awkward being around you as a casual acquaintance. You say he adored you, which means you were extremely close. Now that you're no longer dating, your friendship is not the same; maybe your guy just forgot what you were like before you were dating, and doesn't know how to address you as a friend anymore. He's acquainted with a different side of you; he's used to saying "I'm lucky to have you." Perhaps he genuinely believes that the side you exhibit as "just a friend" is not the same side you exhibited as "girlfriend." This doesn't mean he doesn't like you or has any less respect for you; it just means that after such a close long-term relationship, your friendship may well not be the same for a while. It's only been a month; give him and yourself more time to adjust to a newer way of interaction.

Looking at the question history, it is fairly obvious that a teenager asked this question, so the answer is no. You, a teenager, should not get drunk or even drink because of anything.

That being said, consider for a moment that this girl ostensibly expressed feelings for you. While it may hurt to read this, those feelings were not real. I know this because she has betrayed you so completely. Odds are, she had plans to get to your friend through you. That your "friend" cooperated with this betrayal is an indication that he was not really your friend.

Now, this may seem harsh, but read it to the end.

A big part of the problem here is your ability reading the motives of others. The criteria you use to choose friends and girlfriends appears to be broken. Assess it. Figure out what you are doing wrong, and simply don't do that anymore.

That you have given your heart to another and are obviously hurting from the betrayal says more about you in a positive light than what I identified before. That you can care so deeply that you are hurt so completely only shines a light on your honor. Do not smear that honor by doing something so foolish as to get drunk.

It hurts now. Let it hurt. Time doesn't heal all wounds, but it does give you distance to be able to deal with it. The hurt may not ever go away, but it will get easier to live with. In the process, you may even find someone else to give your heart to.

Don't act yourself, act as if your a mean, sloppy, selfish person and she will get fed up of it eventually, and anyway, you shouldn't be wanting her to dump you, if your that desperate to break up with her you should tell her straight or else she will be confused and hurt.

The guy who said "you dont" is totally wrong. Because I had a girlfriend that was lesbian and I didn't know until last Friday. So, a guy can get a girl who's lesbian b/c she will try to hide her homosexuality from everybody and get a boyfriend. As in my case, I had dated this girl since 8th grade til now (10th grade). I didn't know she was lesbian until last Friday and I was pretty pissed. But now, I am ok with it b/c she still loves me and I get hugs from her everyday still. She even held hands with me today. And the girl she is dating, was a girl that I had a crush on and I found out that they were both dating each other and personally, I think it is hot.

So that is how a guy can get with a lesbian girl.

Dont do that your going to hurt him more then ever. Just tell him how you really feel. I know its hard. But it will pay off in the long run.

darling you have absolutely every chance in the world. I recommend not trying to break them up because that leads to disaster (trust me) but if he is still into you than he will realise this and break up with the other girl and get back with you if not he is missing out

She has told you she loves her boyfriend so unfortunately you are going to have to accept this no matter how much it hurts your heart. Start going out with your male friends and start dating again. I hate to say it but if his parents are forcing him to breakup with you then they may not care for you or their son being with you. Why not ask them and see if you can get their permission to spend time together.

when i read this i just think of an amazing person who is trapped in her own mind. Who is lost and just needs some help to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Sometimes we as humans lose our way and as much as we'd like to think we know what we're doing and where we're going ..in all honesty no one ever does.. we all need that helping hand every now and again. the light at the end of the tunnel indicates freedom of the mind .. clarity and peace. ( just like a beautiful bird trapped in an ugly cage - no freedom at all...) But as humans there is no such thing as the impossible... we make the rules and we make our choices.. Life is a choice. There is no 2 ways about it.

My questions is 'Why are you allowing him to pay your cell phone bill?' For one he gets to see phone numbers and may find out who you are talking too and thus, you've just lost your privacy. Time to stand on your own two feet and start paying all your own bills.

You could start talking to them whenever its comfortable for you. And if they arent comfortable with it, then you shouldn't push it on them to talk to you. They could still be hurting or they may never want to talk to you again so that they wont fall for you again. Sometimes its best to get your ex's out of your life for good. Its called moving on.

Those who favor cloning humans argue that we could produce more geniuses and thereby improve life for everyone through their contributions. Some argue that we could produce clones to provide "spare parts" for people who need transplants.

There is no proof that someone who is genetically identical to Albert Einstein, for example, would be a genius or would use his genius for socially acceptable ends. Upbringing and environment could turn an Einstein clone into another Adolf Hitler.

As for spare parts, it would be no more ethical to use a clone for that purpose than it would be to use your next door neighbor.

There are two passages in the Bible that bear directly on the issue of men playing God. The first is in Genesis, when Adam and Eve were thrown out of the Garden of Eden for taking fruit from the tree of knowledge and presuming to obtain God's wisdom.
