Any type of bullying has a very bad effect on children/teenagers and even adults. Cyber bullying is the type of bullying done by computer/cell phones etc. It can make someone feel awful about themselves and then they start to believe it. In severe cases of cyber bullying it can lead to suicide and bad depression.

This is a complex question likely best answered more by some one with a social background then me, but I will give it a shot.

With the modern increase in reliance on social media such a myspace, facebook and twitter to name a few we find ourselves increasingly exposed to a wider audience and circle of friends then we might have without such things.

Because of the natural anonymous nature of the internet and lack of face to face communication it makes it easier to make cruel or otherwise scathing remarks at a distance because one does not need to see the repercussions of such activities. This is especially true in situations where TRUE anonymous communication is possible, such as the IRC or over some chat mediums.

The only way to truly avoid cyberbullying (and I dislike this term) is to not participate in such social media. The other alternative is to limit your social media exposure to people you know and trust by use of privacy settings. Limit your social circle to those whom you know in real life and whom are close to you and you'll likely reduce, if not eliminate your exposure to "bullying" in these cases.

The other alternative is to recognize that cyberbullying is as effective as you let it be. Without reacting, you fail to give the bully his or her "reward" which is a response in a negative or emotional spectrum. With no positive reinforcement of his or her behavior, the bully eventually looses interest and goes away. Choose to not let it bother you and rise above it.

cyber bullying is wrong because its not right to make people feel bad for self amusement it makes people feel unwanted and the need to cause self harming things to there self's. people then tend to not want to be their friend and think they are very weak and can't look after themselves.

This is the Number 1 place cyber bullies go to harass other people. Twitter, YouTube and Instagram are major places for cyber bullying too. All the social media sites have tons of cyber bullying.

They will feel like hurting the cyber bullyer but you should always block them and report abuse.

people that bully other people are people that have not had an easy childhood and they feel like they have to get back at the world. also sometimes they do it for attention.

Alright I think other kids bully people is because they want to get in trouble or they just jealous of other people. This is what all my teachers say EVERYDAY say theres a group of numbers 1 and 2. Number 1 is better than other people. When I am at school i get picked on all the time and i say write your handwriting and my handwriting was so nice and hers was so scribble scrabble. heres a quick advice try to ignore theme everyday. if it doesnt work tell your teacher or an adult.

In 7th grade she flashed her breasts on webcam to a guy. A year later that guy contacted her on Facebook and told her to show him her breasts. He knew her address, school, relatives, friends, and family names. Her photo was sent to everyone.

A year later he came back and made a Facebook page with her breasts as the profile picture. Then nobody at school liked her. She switched schools again. A month later she started talking to an old guy friend. His girlfriend was on vacation and he told her to come over. They had sex.

Bullying can cause you to not feel good about youself. Especially if you are insulted multiple times. This can lead to insecurity and sadness in one's life. This can sometimes eventually ends up with suicide.

She died at her own hands. Amanda hanged herself in her bedroom closet. It was at least her second suicide attempt.
