Can you connect two desktop computers and one notebook computer to one router?

Yes, and you can connect many more devices.

The router should have at least 4 ethernet ports to connect to. And/or you can connect wireless also. If you have more then 4 wired devices then you can use a 4, 8, or 16 port ethernet Switch to connect to the Router.

Myself I have 3 desktops (wired), 3 wireless and 1 wired laptops, an X-Box 360 (wired), a Wii (wireless), a BlueRay player (wireless) and a Brother laser printer (wireless) connected to the router. (1 desktop, 1 laptop and the X-Box are hooked to the Router and the rest of the wired devices are connected to an 8 port ethernet Switch which is connected to the Router.)

What technique does T1 technology use to transmit multiple signals over a single over a single telephone line?

The T-1 channel combines 24x 64 Kbps channels into one single channel using Channel Bonding or Channel Aggregation.

What wires do you need to run from your outside phonebox to your phone jack to connect dsl?

You do not need to run any wires. DSL connects directly to the phone jack. You run phone line from the phone jack to a filter, then to the DSL Modem. You can also install a filter at the interface to eliminate the need for filters inside the home. If you install interior filters, you will need one at each phone jack that is being used by any device. From the modem you can either run USB or Ethernet cable to the computer if the modem is a USB/Ethernet modem. I do not recommend USB. Use the Ethernet if at all possible. The connection is more stable and slightly faster. If your computer has no Ethernet connection, you can install an Ethernet card for as little as $20. Use a good quality Cat5 or Cat6 cable from the Modem to the computer.

How do you connect direct cable through network card for two computers without Internet to play games on a LAN etc if they are running Windows xp?

1) You purchase the cable

2) You plug it into the network adapter (network card).

If the cable directly connects two computers, you need a crossover cable; if the computers are connected via a switch (this lets you connect more than two computers), you need a straight cable. Make sure to measure how much cable you need, and to purchase some extra length, to let you move the computers around freely.

How do you program cw-600s premium receiver?

first you need the following:

- receiver

- computer with a serial port

- null modem/serial cable

- software

- latest .bin file you want to upload to the receiver

the bin file contains the info you need to put on the receiver when the dish goes down. you download the file to the receiver using the software.

the software can be found here: http://www.aaafta.com/forum/captiveworks-cw-600s-premium-files/2267-new-captiveworks-captiveworks-600s-premium-loader-v1-07-a.HTML

the binary files (also called BV fixes) can be found here: http://www.livefta.com/forums/captiveworks-files/

1) plug in receiver, hook up cable from receiver to computer by serial ports.

2) start software. click the little folder icon at the top and locate where ever you have unzipped your .bin file to. do not touch your com port setting in the program unless your com port has been changed manually (default, it should be COM 1).

3) turn power off on the receiver via the switch on the back. select "upload data", then start, then turn on power to receiver. receiver should get stuck in "boot".

4) select "download data". hit start. receiver should start to show odd values on the screen that change very fast (i think its HEX code) and the progress bar in the software should start to move.

5) when receiver says "- END" it is done. cycle power off and enjoy.

if you want to use a USB to serial cable, here is a how-to

What is the serial number for Download Accelerator Plus?

Where Is Your Serial Number

The serial number would either be on the back of the CD case or within the documentation that came with your software when you purchased it. You will know it is the serial number because it is a mix of numbers and/or letters separated by dashes, usually 20 characters long.

Install Without Serial Number

You can't install this software without the serial number. Follow the on screen instructions during installation. One of the instructions will come up asking you to enter the serial number - put it into the white boxes - and the installation will continue. You can't use the software without installing it.

What To Do If You've Lost Yours

Contact costumer services at Speedbit - DAP by mail, email, or phone. They will probably need proof of purchase such as original receipt, bar code on package, or some other form of identification. They will instruct you on what is needed and will then give you a new serial number if necessary.

More Info

Downloading proprietary software is illegal (except for trials). This is called piracy. Using serial numbers that you did not purchase is also illegal, even if you purchased the software and lost your serial number (see above for obtaining a new one in this case). It is also illegal to use key generators (keygens) which provide serial numbers as well as cracks to bypass expired time trials or entering a serial number and no-CD cracks which enable you to use the software without the original purchased CD for the software.

WikiAnswers will not provide serial numbers or links to serial numbers. We will also not provide information or links on where to obtain pirated software, serial numbers, keygens, or cracks. If you are caught doing any of these, you may be blocked from using WikiAnswers as well as reported to the proper officials and/or the company who created the software.

Note: This is a catch-all question. Neither it nor its alternatives should be deleted or removed. It should also remain protected so that illegal information cannot be posted.

Why do you setup default gateway server address?

First, you have to know what the default gateway address for your LAN segment is. This might mean talking to your network administrator.

Usually this address is set automatically by the DHCP protocol, so you don't need to do anything. If you are using a set of static addresses, then you can specify the default gateway address in one of the Windows network dialog boxes. For Unix/Linux, the 'ifconfig' command allows you to set the default gateway address.

For server 2008 (including Server 2008 Core) use the netsh command to set the default gateway address (if not using DHCP).

Replace my wireless router do you have to delete the old one first?

It's up to you. The only case when you would have to delete settings for the previous one is if you are going to call your new router the same name. It might cause some compatibility problems, that's why in such cases it's recommended to delete previous profiles.

What type of cable would you use for the horizontal spaces and the vertical links for a traditional star network?

Cat6 is the current standard for new installations of ethernet cable. Depending on the space and certain building codes you need to decide between Plenum (CMP) or Riser (CMR). The difference being Riser cable is more durable, but puts out toxic fumes when caught on fire, so it is not suitable for spaces with open air flow. Dropped ceilings are generally considered Plenum spaces so therefore require plenum cable.
