I believe so, but I don't know exactly what the rules are. Camcorders (videocameras) are definitely not allowed, but I'm not sure about regular cameras (cameras which only take still pictures).

Whatever the rules are, they don't seem to be strictly enforced (at least, at regular movie screenings). For example, they don't search you, to see if you have a camcorder. Also, most cell phones nowadays are also cameras -- most of them at least take still pictures, if not videos (although the picture quality is usually sub-standard). But they don't take your cell phone away before you enter the movie.

At premieres and advance screenings, the rules are usually more strict. I have a friend who is always getting tickets to advance screenings, and whenever we go to these advance screenings, there are always security guards outside the theater doors, who make us give them our cell phones (unless they are the kind that can't take pictures). You have to give them the phone, and tell them your name. They write your name on a Post-It note, and attach the Post-It to your cell phone. When the movie is over, you show them a valid ID card with your name and picture, and you get your phone back.

However, even at these advance screenings I've been to, the security guards still do not search you. They don't search your purse, for example, to see if you have a videocamera stashed in there. They actually don't even search you to see if you have a cell phone. You can lie and say you don't (but often, the people who lie have their cell phone in their back pocket, or shirt pocket, and the guard will go, "Hey, you're lying. I see your phone. Give it up.") But if they can't see that you have one, they can't search you to be sure.

To get a red eye is something that nobody wants. However certain amount of bacteria has to get in the eye to become irritated, itchy, swollen and red. This can lead to pink eye or conjunctivitis, a disease in the eye that is extremely contagious. But people who dont sanitize their hands for example, touch their eyes and later get symptons and the disease as well. Medication such as eyedrops might get rid of it.

Yes, I am positive that the photo of Teddy Roosevelt riding a moose is real. I have been trying to find out how exactly he did it- if it was a tame moose like the ones use in movies, if it was a "pet" of his, but no one seems to have a definitive answer. The only solid piece of information is that yes, he did ride a moose (and perhaps we will never know why which if you ask me, makes it somehow even cooler)

The question begs another one or two before an answer can be given :- How is the digital image being viewed? - several possibilities exist :- 1)On the camera LCD display 2)On a computer monitor 3)On a TV set 4)As a print and if so printed by inkjet or laser printer 5)Some other mechanism - eg a standalone viewer into which the camera memory card is inserted Is the whole of the image being displayed or a "cropped" version ie only a part of the whole frame? Is the effect apparent in all tones of the picture or, say, only in the shadow/highlight areas?

Electronics products `new model year' is usually around June. Probably just before or just after would be the best time to look for the bargains available. Nothing wrong with a couple year old design either. I've followed the reviews on one particular manufacture and model DSLR for the past year, and finally made the choice to purchase the tried and true version. Being the newest product out on the market doesn't always translate into being the best that is available.

After the Hoya merger the cameras are assembled in the Phillipines and the lenses are assembled un Vietnam. This could mean the components are made elsewhere. Some accessories are made in China. Before the merger the cameras and lenses where made in Japan.

There is no way a visitor can spot fake security cameras without taking the camera apart. There is no clear way of seeing that a camera might be fake when looking at it.
