Capers (herb)
Capers are the edible flower buds of the Flinders rose bush, also known as the caper bush. These flower buds are often used as a seasoning, and the fruit of the bush is known as caper berries; also used to season foods. Both are nearly always used in pickled form for seasoning.

I say yes you can! it took me almost 3 weeks of breaking down my diet to pinpoint what was making me ill. Capers were the culprits. Once I cut them out, the pains ceased. I can only describe the pain I recieved from them as like tiny little bombs going off in my stomach. I would eat a salad then be fine for 10-15 mins then boom! Abdominal cramps and intense pain, this may last for 30 mins or so. The pain was intense enough to double me over on occasion. Once I stopped eating them little buggers I have been pain free now for over 6 years.
Are Nasturtium seeds the same things as Caper's?
No, but they do have a similar flavor when brined. I prefer to plant them. The flowers and leaves are edible and have a nice peppery flavor.
