It's called the Water Cycle. Drops of vapor leave a lake when its hot out. That is called evaporation.
It goes up to the atomosphere and condinsates. That is called condinsation.
Then it rains back down onto the earth. That is called percipitation.

Yes, though typically, I'ved heard of them asserting their dominance by fighting, and often rolling their opponent over on their back which can be fatal

Actually it depends on what it feel towards their young and what condition they are on.
If they are hungry and have nothing to eat they might pick on their young.

Masculine turtles usually:
- have (slightly) concave plastron
- have a bigger tail
- have much longer nails
- are smaller in comparison - 5 - 8 inches shell full size, compared to 8 - 13 inches for females

How old is your turtle?
Do you use the correct temperature settings and gradients plus plenty of uvb light (at least a 5%tube) and supplements of calcium, heathy diet etc for him. He may look a little better but if the conditions are not right he will succumb to illness in the end so you need to consistantly monitor these things.
My guess would be to research what type of turtle you have and look up
-What temp the water should be?
-How much and what food to feed them?
-How much light they should be getting?
Another big one is to make sure you have a good filter system and make sure you clean the tank regulary. Ph levels may need to be changed to.

Not true at all. That's what fish do not turtles! Turtles mate. A pregnant female turtle's appearance is only slightly changed. You might notice a slight widening of her shell. It is easier to tell if a turtle is pregnant by behavior. She will eat less and dig a lot of holes in the gravel or dry ground if she if provided dirt or sand as land.~Maddie Moo

The Earth On Turtle's Back is a myth on how life on earth began. Some believe that god created everything and Adam and Eve were the first lives on earth. In Earth On Turtle's Back the Woman From The Sky had a dream about a tree being uprooted and when she looked through the hole where the tree once was she fall down from the sky. Doves caught her fall but couldn't put her down because there was no land nothing but water and she didnt have webbed feet like the animals did. All the animals get together to help her and one by one each animal took his or her turn turning to pull earth up to the surface from under water. Every last animal failed. But it was the muskrat that was determined to the death that she would pull up earth and she did! She came back up to the surface half dead when she realized she had nowhere to put earth. Turtle came in the mix and instructed her to place earth on his back and that he would bare it. They placed Woman From The Sky on the earth and she began to plant and grow trees, grass, forest, and run rivers and streams alond the earth. This was the beginning of life.
Can a pacu live with a turtle?
It all depends on the size of the turtle and the pacu. If the pacu is at least the same size as the turtle then it is okay for them to be tank mates. The worst that would happen is that the turtle would be able to nip on the fins of the pacu which will eventually grow back. aquatic turtles produce a lot of waste so make sure that your filter is rated for twice the gallons that your tank holds. The species of turtle and the age of the turtle will make a difference as well, for example red eared sliders are more herbivorous when they get older, past 5yrs, while snapping turtles will have a higher chance of injuring/killing your pacu. It is very important that both the aquatic turtle and the pacu are housed in a large tank/pond because they both get big. This will decrease the chances of them encountering each other.
Experienced aquarists never mix fish with Amphibians or Reptiles because they know they are heading for failure. It is recommended that many Reptiles (depending upon species) be kept in a set up where they can actually get out of the water and dry out a bit and sunbake too sometimes. As the other person above wisely says, the Turtle could also damage the fish by biting chunks out of it.
Should a baby turtle sleep in water whole night?
it is not good for them to.if it is a pet and you have a tank/habitat for them to live in put a little pond like thing that doesnt cover the whole habitat/tank so they can have land to sleep on which is what they usually do.it is possible for them to drown while sleeping in water a whole night:)
