There was a fourth season planned but DNA Productions closed down its animation facility after the disappointing performance of Any Bully. It eventually reopened in 2012.

A good example of caricaturization would be a political cartoonist's illustration of politicians ; for example Pat Oliphant's or Ben Sargent's cartoons as well as other cartoonists .

OK now spongebob started because Stephen Hillenburg was working for an aquarium and he had to make a weekly comic for the aquarium and the main character was bob the sponge and he was a round sea sponge. When Stephen quit and made the show he still had bob the sponge in his mind so he made a show about a sea sponge and called it spongebob squarepants and in the TV show he is shaped like a kitchen sponge so that the younger viewers can better associate spongebob with a sponge as most of them probably haven't seen a sea sponge. So that is the origins of spongebob

Anime is a form of cartooning. The term is applied to the shows originating from Japan and to shows with a cretin artistic/plot style

At the end of world war two the US government assigned some top military people to help rebuild the nation of Japan. To the people of that nation these men were all but gods/emperors and the population treated there every word as such… When it comes to the attitudes of such men regarding censorship entertainment/films/TV shows/and pornography… It doesn't take rocket scientist to figure out that these men had a VARY right wing attitude about censorship especially so in comparison to the former Japanese culture. Consequently, what is acceptable for a live actor/actress in modern Japan is vary restrictive. But no such restrictions apply to Japanese cartooning. To further add to the popularity of the cartoon genre, It's a LOT easier to illustrate a sword slicing, your starship in half in a cartoon than it is in a live action medium.

The most common "differences" between Japanese Anime and American cartooning include

A. Culture references are more ashen of course… IE. Inuyasha's origin as a "half human/half demon wolf". Is a vary Japanese concept of a demon. [Had this show been plotted using "Western mythology he would most likely have been written as a lycanthropy.]

B. Plots are normally vary involved and frequently address much more mature questions/topics. IE: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex addresses such questions as where is the real difference between artificial intelligence and cybernetics, and where do the two cross each others paths and the machine become as human as the person? Anime can also address topics normally considered taboo by US standards. IE RANMA½ address the subjects of gender, "Gender jumping" Trans gender, and even the topic of fetish.

C. Artwork/Anatomy: The anatomy of the characters is more detailed and accurate. Yet the faces remain vary stylized, with minimal mouth/jaw line, and nose, detailed hair stiles and LARGE expressive eyes. In fact it could be argued that the oversized and expressive eyes have become the signature of most anime.

The series has already ended and no more episodes are being released. Nicktoons plays reruns of the show and there are plenty of anime sites,especially dubbed,(english) sites that have all the episodes.

Most things that occur in the world are judged. Watching cartoons as an adult is one of these things. This is purely because of what society, as a whole, sees as normal and sees as abnormal. But hey, who wants to be normal? I plan to watch Spongebob forever, because just between you and me, I'm a goofy goober.

It depends on the period of time you are interested in. Most people would identify the "bad sailor" as Bluto (starting in 1932) although for a short period of time his name was changed to Brutus. However Bluto/Brutus was not the only enemy the sailor man faced. There as also the Sea Hag (and here vultures) and Alice the Goon and her friends on Goon Island. During the wartime episodes Popeye also squared off with a number of Japanese and German villans. These are generally never seen in today's politically correct world.

Fred's most well-known boss is Mr. Slate. His first name has been Sylvester, Nathan, Oscar, and George. Some people think those are all his different first/middle names, but he is usually just called them one at a time, and it seems to have been a running joke on the show to change the first name around. :)

Over the course of the show, Fred had other bosses (or the boss had other names). Other names were Mr. Boulder, J. J. Granite, an unnamed boss with white hair (in "The Big Tycoon" episode), and Mr. Rockhead.

The subject of the story is what the story is about. The subject can be a person, an object, or a place.
