Edd Gould passed away on March 25, 2012. He was 23 years old. His ashes are going to be buried on October 28, celebrating what would be his 24th birthday. Tom and Matt kept some, too. Just a bit of cleanup above before adding my opinion! Cartoons happen to be the livelihood of many an adult. Some are specifically targeted at the young and their inexperience with life. Others take a different tack and have large, complicated vocabularies used in a story that has adult themes. Graphic novels and, in Japan, a form of that genre called Manga have no child audience save for the ones that specifically target that market. Most are written for a more mature audience.

Nickelodeon shows other shows besides cartoons because they wanted the channel to be viewed by all ages, not just children. Shows with actors instead of shows with cartoons appeal more to adolescents and adults.

Bad it is not my friend, i am 26yo and all i watch primarily is anime and cartoons, i especially enjoy cartoons from my child hood, good nostalgia. if you enjoy cartoons and anime etc you are in a massive group, worldwide there are hundreds of thousands of people who attend comic/anime conventions just to buy collectables, dress up in cosplay and catch glimpse of anime/comic book stars in the real. live it up and enjoy, put it this way if no-one liked them they wouldn't make them anymore =P
