No CD and DVD are two different formats whether the drive are internal or external makes no difference.

There are combo external drives available which will play both formats but those typically cost a few dollars more.

Your computer will load some of the disc into the RAM in order to play the DVD without stuttering. this is perfectly normal. The computer should not be putting much data onto the hard drive when you watch a movie, and the only reason that I can think of that it would be putting data onto the hard drive would be the page file.

If you leave the session open when you burn files to a CD-RW, you should be able to add more files to the same CD-RW at a later time. and also you should not sell the copies because it is alegal unless you burn it for an extra copie for yourself

Those are 2 completely different terms. MP3 refers to a file format for storing compressed audio, and data disc refers to a method of recording information onto a CD Rom in such a format such as computers and computer game systems can read data from them. Data disca can contain MP3 files though.
