The engine and transmission need to be warmed up before the ATF level is checked. The vehicle needs to be up on a lift and level. The engine MUST be running and in park when the ATF level is checked. With that being said, and the vehicle is up on a lift, level, with engine running, in park, remove the plug on the SIDE of the transmission pan, the ATF (Dextron III) level should be right at the bottom of the hole. DO NOT shut off the engine with the plug removed.

I have an 84 Vette and had a similar problem. Get a needle nose pliers. If you able, grab a hold of the cable which is just behind the hood release handle, grasp on to it firmly and pull it, but to to hard. I have a 93 z24 and all i did was peel some of the cover over the cable off and i use a pair of vise-grips to open my hood. either you take off the bumper cover, and pull the bottom lever of the hood latch or go fron underneeth i had the same problem on my 94 i just rigged up a bicycle cable in there and joined it with the old cable...works like new

The 2001 wheels will fit fine, but you must use 1999 tire pressure sensors, as they changed in 2001 and are not compatible with the earlier system in the 1999. I've gone through this also. The idiots at the tire shops have broken 3 out of 4 of mine off my 1995 6-speed LT1 Corvette coupe no matter how much I instructed them as to the possibility of damage by breaking the bead on the wrong area of the wheel. If you can get your hands on any of the other 3 (Left Front very hard to find) you can open up the case and modify the circuit board by cutting/soldering one of the little traces. In this manner you can change one into any of the others (although the label will still be the wrong color so you have to remember you did this!) I have the information for the older (original) sensors that came on the C4 Corvette (part numbers 10161854/5/6&7), so I would be able to supply you with that, but I'm not sure if the newer part numbers (88959444/5/6&7) are the same. However, I am almost certain the same mods are possible. A manufacturer would never make 4 completely different sensors when one could be easily modified. If you want the info, e-Mail: . Your 1990 has R12 refrigerant in it which isn't available anymore at parts stores. To add refrigerant to your vehicle you will have to get the a/c system vaccuumed and retrofitted to accept new r134a refrigerant and pag100 compressor oil.
