find you a donor vehicle like a Monte Carlo,if you have a turn signal switch with a dimmer switch combined then your in luck ,the Monte Carlo has the wiper with delay,dimmer and turn signal switch all in one .if the wiper switch is on the dash then you might look twards a switch and wiper motor from a caprice classic, the wiper motor has the delay board installed on it just plug and play.don't foget to hook up the green pulse wire to the single terminal under the washer pump,this can be done because i converted my 71 ss chevelle to delay system,only mods was mounting the switch but i did it without drilling or cutting my dash.

How do you install a harmonic balancer on a small block Chevy engine?
Slide the balancer on the crankshaft snout as far as you can by hand, then put a harmonic balancer installation tool in and crank it down until it bottoms out.
If you can't afford to buy the tool, you can make one with a piece of 1/2-20 threaded rod, a nut, and some big thick washers. Put grease between the washers so they will slip easily while you're tightening the nut.

Some, yes. The heads would have to be drilled, for water, as the 400 does not flow water through the block, but are always 1:94, large chamber. Good head to work with. 441, castings, I think. The flywheel, and balancer, are externally balanced, so they will not, and should be kept with the reciprocating assembly. (crank, rods, and pistons) And, the block is unique, however, for racing we put the 350 crank, 6 inch rods, and special pistons in to make a 383. Everything else will interchange.

A 305 is a good engine, it has a 4 inch bore like the 350 so can take all the good heads etc. You might consider making it a 383 stroker. Except crank rode length etc you have same block now as 350. It depends on how much power you want and how much you want to change. you could go with a big block like a 454/396/502 but then suspension mods etc accessories cooling improvements, trans all have to be redone adding to the cost. You will save a lot of money staying with a small block and if you want brute cubes you can get an aftermarket small block with more than 500 cubic inches from a place like summit and still have the weight savings over a big block same power and less to modify.
