To fix the inoperative speedometer you will need to replace the speed sensor. It is located on the side of transmission and has 2 wires coming out of it.

the temperature control actuator is behind the dash board.

The radiator drain on a 1995 - 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 pick-up truck is located at the inside bottom left corner of the radiator (driver's side facing the wheel). It is difficult to access due to the front metal wheel well guard (using hands to slightly bend - an inch or so out - the lower inside front corner into the wheel well provides a little better access without removing any bolts & you can bend it back later to its original position). The radiator drain petcock is plastic with a vertical plastic turning blade. You may need a narrow diameter petcock tool to open this as it tends to stick if not opened/closed for a couple years (I made a quick "tool" out of a 10 inch piece of 1/2" thick-wall PVC by cutting a 3'16" wide by 1/2" deep notch into one end, drilled two 1/8" thru holes 90 degrees to each other thru the opposite end and used a nail in these holes for leverage to turn the "tool" - saved $12+ and a 30 mile trip to the parts store). The petcock needs to be turned approximately 90 - 120 degrees counterclockwise to pop out and open (do not force further counterclockwise or you may break the petcock!). The contents of the radiator will run onto the frame due to GMC's poor engineering) and drip from several places, so have additional buckets ready to chase the mess. (The draining process was relatively slow, taking about 10 minutes to drain 12.8 quarts of old fluid, so be patient!).

Have someone go in the car and press the pedal and have another look at the side thats working to determine this.

The trick is not where to fill it but how to know when it is full. It is best to take it to a garage because it needs to be raised level on a lift.

i called the power chervolet and they said a combination of 150 highway and street miles. they told me to drive it for a bit and then let the car rest and then repeat it until 150 miles.

I own an 05 impala and had same problem. check the fuel pressure relay for a small drip on the bottom. the part cost around 70 dollars

dont compress, take brake caps off and it's self adjusting so turn it back clockwise,. behind the brake pads. For Rear Brakes: Use either a needle-nose pliers (difficult) or a "brake tool" (available at any autoparts store) to rotate the piston. For Front Brakes: Just use a C-clamp to (gently!!!) push the piston inward. The Piston in the rear brake caliper screws in. There are two holes to insert a tool into to rotate the piston. Get the special tool at any auto parts store, It'll be worth the $4 or $5 dollars.

a very smart thing to do is to buy a shop manuel and a build suppliment book. i restore chevys and found these books at "Harmons" to be very imformative to the point of insanity! i love them. a lil costly but will help! they even show the whole circutry in pictures too! plus tell alot in fact all you need.i recomend a new harness, since the on in car is like 30 yrs old.these cars are true hand built cars it might be ok but be safe! these books will also help you identify part #s too i hope thos helps.

The Chevrolet K1500 pickup truck flasher relay switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The flasher relay switch will be above the brake pedal.

There may be two different types of resistors. Apparently one type is secured by screws, easy to understand how to remove.

The other type is kind of a molded in plastic rivet type of thing. I have this type and removed it this afternoon. I took a chisel and scraped off the melted plastic rivet type material and was then able to pull it out by hand. There are two other holes in the resistor where you can add new screws to put it back in place.

The throttle position sensor is mounted on the throttle body. the throttle position sensor on a 2006 chevy impala is an electronic plug mounted to the gas pedal. I just worked on one. If u need a new one u have to buy the whole assembly. gas pedal and all.

By taking your car to a GM Dealership. They have the special equipment to do it.

Pretty much like all water cooled engines. The radiater is a pressurized heat exchanger that allows water to pass through tubes and air to pass over the tubes to transfer the heat from the water to the air. The water is pumped by a water pump through the water jackets molded into the engine block. Where the heat from the block iks transferred to the water. The water then continues back out to the radiator to be cooled again. The temperature is regulated by a thermostat located on top of the engine block and cooling fans to ensure proper airflow across the radiator for cooling.

you have a blown fuse, look in your owners manual and it will show you the fuses location.

Depends on the model and make? I believe many now have a release latch or something in the trunk that must be pulled before being able to lay down the rear seat.
