Where is 2002 Nissan altima radiator drain plug located?

Crawl under the car and look up at the radiator near the passenger side. you should see a hole in the body plastic that helps protect any debris from hitting the engine. The hole is for the radiator drain plug and it takes a fat Philips screwdriver to undo the plastic plug. If the coolant is dark green, you waited to long to change the fluid, hope a good flush fixes any cooling problems. on a scale of 1-10, I would rate it a 2 since all it takes is some fluid and a screwdriver.

How often should you do a oil change on a 4 cylinder 2006 Kia Optima?

If you use synthetic oil and a synthetic oil filter (both are mor expensive) you can go a little longer in between changes. The oil will run about $20 for 5quarts and the filter usually starts about $10. Usually max should be about 7,000 miles though some say more but its not recommended to go pass 7,000 miles. You can not change the oil to often. I do it every 2000 mi. a lot of people say 3000. That would be the max. I would let it go. Even if you have someone else do it there should be someplace that charges between $20 and 30 for just an oil change. Much cheaper than a new motor or car.

How do you remove the cooling fan on 1996 Pontiac Sunfire?

Although the Haynes says to simply disconnect the electrical plug, remove bolts, and pop it out of the retaining clips and pull out, it's not quite so simple. First off, there is only one bolt to remove almost dead center of the car. (passenger side of the fan). After removing this, you will have little to no room to maneuver it within the space given. Pop it from the clips on the right (driver) side by sliding it away from them. The top is a clip. The bottom is a square mount. Once clear of the bolt and clips, and electrical is no longer connected, you will find that it will slide (with effort) side to side. There is a ridiculously designed hanger type piece that hangs over the condenser as a type of grapple to the other side of it. In theory, lift it up "slightly" as the manual says and it should come out. That is the most under-rated instruction I've ever come across in a manual. I removed the cover to the hood latch, removed two more bolts to slide it towards the front to gain more clearance. After that, removed the two bolts securing the condenser to pop the top of the fan grapple off of it once it's movable. Then.. lift the car up into the air, and remove through the bottom. Don't bother trying through the opening at the top. You'll lose every bit of skin on your hand from hitting the solid coolant lines, transmission, starter, and wiring harness. It's impossible. After attempting this on two identical cars over a period of 7 hours, trust me. It will NOT wiggle or bend out the top. Hope this is helpful.

Where are Chevrolet's cars made?

General Motors has plants all over the U.S. and Canada. Bowling Green, KY is where the corvette is built. There is also a huge plant in Arlington, TX.

The above writer conveniently left off Mexico and Korea. There is no more, "See the USA in your Chevrolet!" Look on their window stickers! I got in a high dollar Cadillac Escalade and on the mfg plate, it said "Made in Mexico" It was still $60,000!

This is how to reset the "CHANGE OIL" light for a 96 Impala SS: 1. Turn the key to the "RUN" position with the engine OFF. 2. Push and release the gas pedal three times within five seconds. 3. Wait for the "CHANGE OIL" light to flash two times as a confirmation that the system has been successfully rest. If the "CHANGE OIL" light comes on and stays lit for five seconds, the system has NOT been reset. Therefore, you must repeat steps 1 & 2.

uncrossing sparkplug wiring 79 ChevyOne good way to uncross the spark plug wiring is to find out what the firing order is for the engine generally can be founf in the owners manual or embosswed on the intake manifold you can also find the firing order on a plate or sticker under the hood or in a Haynes repair manual for that car you will then need to determine which is the number one through n n equals the number of cylinders of the engine probably 8 in your case then trace each wire back to the distributor the numbers are also on the distributor cap clockwise make sure the wires on the cap go to the correct spark plug 1 to 1 2 to 2 3 to 3 etc. uncrossing sparkplug wiring 79 ChevyOne good way to uncross the spark plug wiring is to find out what the firing order is for the engine generally can be founf in the owners manual or embosswed on the intake manifold you can also find the firing order on a plate or sticker under the hood or in a Haynes repair manual for that car you will then need to determine which is the number one through n n equals the number of cylinders of the engine probably 8 in your case then trace each wire back to the distributor the numbers are also on the distributor cap clockwise make sure the wires on the cap go to the correct spark plug 1 to 1 2 to 2 3 to 3 etc.

assuming its an 8 cylinder 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 looking at the engine from the front - right bank is 1-3-5-7.left bank is 2-4-6-8 pull #1 plug bring it up to compression stroke now take your cap off rotor should be pointing to #1 on the cap follow the firing order and direction of rotor sounds a little long but if not noted on cap that is your best bet

Does a performance chip help?

Wow is my answer going to be debated

A performance "chip" changes how the engine control system deals with the fuel, ignition, pollution control etc.

Claims

Most claim improvements in fuel economy and power.

Most do not work to any measurable degree.

What they actually do.

The vehicle computer is set to provide long term safe operation, fuel economy and to assure that the car meets pollution control requirements.

The "chip" erodes the margins that protect all these including how long the engine will last.

The "chip" will also change the settings so that premium fuel is required, as North American Premium Fuel is normally 91 octane and European fuel is significantly better sever engine damage can accrue very quickly.

Scam

The scam ones will cause a sensor to report the a changed or incorrect value, this will for a short time change the system to cause the improvements, the engine computer soon learns the new readings and adjusts your engine back to safe and low pollution operation.

What is the wiper blade size on a 2008 Scion xd?

How do you put antifreeze in a 2000 Chevy Impala?

You can add coolant to radiator(left side of engine towards front of car). Remember to push down on cap for final turn to remove cap(cap says "engine coolant" right by the battery. Coolant can also be added to the reserve tank straight back by the firewall. (says engine coolant only on cap) Make sure you allow at least a few hours for engine to cool before removing radiator cap.

AC condensate line of your 2000 Impala is draining inside of passenger compartment and the blower motor sometimes squeals when turning a corner?

Probably two separate conditions. Check the condensate drain line. You may need to find a diagram to see where it comes out, but generally it's on th passenger side, near the bottom of the firewall. Use something to clear out the debris and get it draining again. The squeeling of the blower motor is just an indicaiton that the bearings are "dry". Unfortunately, the only way to service the bearings is to replace the motor.

How do you open passenger fuse box in an 2003 impala?

The fuse box panels are located on either side of the dash (you have to open the car doors to access them). The panels are held in place by clips, so to remove the panel you just pull it off. (It may take what feels like a lot of force).

How do you know if the radiator fans are working on a 2003 Chevrolet Impala?

The engine temperature must reach 232-235 degrees in order for the cooling fans to come on. They will shut off at about 195-200 degrees. Also when the air conditioner is on the cooling fans automatically come on regardless of temperature.

Why would the radio in a 2001 Impala go to static when the rear defroster is turned on?

The antenna for at least the 2000-2005 Impala's is built into the rear windshield. There is actually a little "control box" that the radio antenna wires goes to from the radio. It is located on the drivers side rear pillar under the trim plastic. From there a small antenna wire goes to the defroster terminals. It is a known problem for that module to die. I personally did not want to pay several hundred dollars for a new control box nor a rear windshield. I purchased an active FM antenna from some car audio joint for like $15 that works just fine.

Inspect the defrost lines on the rear windshield.

I was able to spot the place where one was interrupted. If a broken line is not visible, you can try sliding a small piece of aluminum foil along each line and check the spot where the radio reception is static-free. To fix the problem, I have used Permatex Quick Grid Rear Window Defogger Repair Kit. It is a conductive compound that restores the electrical circuit.

How do you remove the interior door panel on 1995 Chevy 1500 pickup?

I currently have the drivers door panel off of my 1995 sierra and it is a fairly simple task: Here is how I did it. 1. Remove 2 vertical screws in the arm rest. 2. Begin at the bottom rear corner of the poor panel and pry a flat bar, screwdriver, putty knife between the panel and the door. There are 3 pegs along the bottom and 3 up each side that have to popped off. 3. Lift the door upwards and it will come out of the window compartment quite easily. 4. Hard Part!! Unplug speaker and coutesy light and remove power switches as one unit by unclipping from inside of panel. You may want to have a helper for this part.
