You need a crank from a 400 turned down to fit 350 main bearings and a set of 400 rods on the 350 pistons. Also need a flywheel and balancer from a 400.

If the engine is standard bore, it would be a 377. A 383 is bored .030" oversize.

The maximum tosing capacity of the 2006 Chevrolet Impala is 1000 lbs..

You need to pull the complete wiper arm off it's splines and then put it back on the splines in the position that you want the blade.

pre fit the new pan and mark where it goes and then leave enough metal to weld the new pan in all the way around and cut the rest out.

A WATER PUMP ON A CHEVY IMPALA IS ABOUT $20-30 DOLLARS.The cost of installing it should be about 60-80 dollars,i have an 04 impala myself and i had to change mine they usually go bad at about 80,000 miles.

ARE YOU REMOVING THE CARPETED/UPOLSTERED PANEL? IF SO THEN MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE THE DOOR HANDLE (THERE SHOULD BE A SCREW BEHIND THE HANDLE) THEN REMOVE THE WINDOW CRANK BY TURNING IT THE OPPOSITE WAY YOU WOULD TO OPEN/CLOSE THE WINDOW. REMOVE THE DOOR LOCK COVER. IF YOU HAVE AUTOMATIC WINDOWS & LOCKS THEN THERE SHOULD BE SCREWS HOLDING THE PIECES IN, REMOVE THOSE. NOW THAT YOU HAVE REMOVED ALL THE ACCESORIES, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO POP THE BOTTOM PART OF THE PANEL OFF, IT IS USUALLY HELD ON BY PLASTIC "SCREWS". THESE POP IN AND OUT WITH OUT DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. ONCE YOU HAVE POPPED OFF THE BOTTOM PART OF THE PANEL, DISCONNECT ANY WIRES THAT MAY BE ATTACHED TO THE PANEL, WINDOWS, LOCKS, MIRRORS. AFTER ALL WIRES ARE DISCONNECTED, CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE THAT MIGHT BE HOLDING THE PANEL ON, IF SO UNDO IT. THIS SHOULD BE A GOOD STARTING POINT. IF YOU GET STUCK I RECOMMEND BUYING A "CHILTON" (A BOOK THAT HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HOW TO WORK ON YOUR CAR YOURSELF) BOOK FOR YOUR CAR. GOOD LUCK

Required: Radiator flush; two gals. Dex-Cool anitfreeze; Spare radiator drain plug : Spare radiator plug avialable in case you break it during plug removal. You can always return the new plug if not used; Put child, dog, cat, bird, etc. in the house and tell the wife not to let then out of the house w/o your permission (see D). A) Engine should be cold. B) Remove radiator cap. Turn left until it stops. Press down and turn left again until cap can be lifted up. C) Turn radiator drain plug (this plug may need to be turned left and removed). Alternative? Leave the plug alone and just disconnect the bottom radiator hose and drain fluid into a tub. D) Fully drain radiator. NOTE: catch the fluid it's posion, smells and tast sweet, it's better than kool aid and it's sure to kill your anything you love. E) Close radiator plug or replace hose if you took if off. F) Pour radiator flush into radiator and add water to top of radiator neck. G) Put radiator cap on by pushing down, turn right, line arrow on cap to point to the hose/tube going to the coolant recovery tank. Fill coolant recovery tank to the full level mark with water. H) Get rid of the old antifreeze and we don't suggest pouring it on the ground. I) Tell wife kids and pets can come outside. J) Start engine and run following directions on flush product. I like to drive 25 to 35 miles. After 20 to 35 miles the flush should have done it's job. Repeat A-E. Then, F) Mix 50/50 water & new antifreez (cat, dog, bird, kids in the house again) G) Fill coolant recovery tank to the cold level mark with the 50/50 mix. Put cap on coolant recovery tank. H) Bleed the coolant system! Easy, the small 3400 engine has two coolant air bleed valves. #1 On the termostat housing. #2 On the thermostate bypass tube. 3800 has one bleed valve located on the thermostate housing. Pictures? Check the owner guide that came with your Impala. I) Open the bleeder valves then pour 50/50 mix into the radiator neck. If you see fluid coming out of the air bleeder valve then close the valve that is bleeding. Otherwise, close the valves after the radiator is filled. Fill to bottom of radiator neck. The fluid pushs air out of the hoses and assures an air pocket doesn't block fluid flow. J) Check the coolant recovery tank and add 50/50 mix as needed to fill tank to the cold mark. K) Put the cap back on the recovery tank but leave the radiator cap off. L) Start engine and let it run until you can feel the upper radiator hose getting hot. L) Top up, to base of radiator neck, with 50/50 mix and replace the pressure cap. Arrow pointing to the recovey tank hose. M) Check the coolant recovery tank level over the next few days to assure level is correct: Hot level when engine is hot and cold level when engine is cold. Easier to see if you highlite the hot / cold level mark with paint or finger nail polish. Good luck!

It is on the very bottom of the engine on the oil pan.

gm sais to pull up the hand brake cover next to the seat, pull up on the hand brake, finger the micro adjuster trigger...HOWEVER. i don't think that does squat.

you'll need to pull the rear wheel, remove 4 bolts to remove the calipers, pull off the rotor, and you'll now see the drum contraption.

use a tooth brush to brush away the rust powder, just for the fun of it...and turn the 1/2" dial until the shoe ring begins to spread.

the reason for the problem is that the steel cable stretches. bicycles have the same problem with the brakes and gears. at least they have an expanstion adjuster that is easy to access.

GM doesn't build for the DIY. they build to getitout and provide for their dealer who make big bucks on stupid fixes that DIY should be doing.

Not normally but with mods. you can fit anything on anything.

If you have the key, insert it, turn it to the 'lock' position, and insert a paper clip into the tiny hole in the face of the bezel. Turn the key to work the lock cylinder out.

If you do not have the key, I suggest removing the passenger door lock, taking it to your local locksmith and having a key made from the 4 digit code stamped into the lock, (costs less than $30), and use this key for the ignition.

It is located in the transmission.

In my 97 ranger I just take out the #25 fuse. The second you take out the fuse it should shut off and conserve your battery for now, otherwise its something in your doorhandles where the lock hits inside of your door, something isn't shutting all the way.

Also , check to see if your gauge lighting dimmer wheel , just to the right of your

headlight switch , has been rotated all the way up - that turns on your courtesy

light

A common problem is the door switch "sticking" which keeps the dome light on...spray some wd40 or electronics cleaner in the latch of the door(s) (the switch is integral with the latch) and open/close a few times.

The turn signal flasher circuitry runs through the flasher switch on the dash. Is is commonly flakey and fairly difficult to replace. When they are not working, simply cycle the flasher switch a coulple of times and it will usually "wake" up your turn signal. It becomes second nature after a bit!

Engine oil would be 10w-30. Brake fluid is Dot3. Power steering and transmission take Dexron 3. The differential is 80-90w GL-5.
