How do you check trouble codes on a 1997 Chrysler Sebring?
Either purchase an OBDII code reader from the auto parts store or use the three key-turn method.
If you turn the key three times without starting, and the last time you leave it in the acc on position, the engine light will flash, giving you the older more general codes. There are other questions on the board that have been answered to explain this method much better than I can.
With the OBDII code readers going for less than 60 dollars now, It may be a good investment to buy one for your car. It will definitely save you money if a repair shop tells you the "computer says its your fuel injectors" when the scan tool tells you that its something like an "egr leak"
Buy a new gas cap that will fix it

How do you get the air out of the cooling system of a 2004 Sebring?
There is a bleeder screw (it looks similar to the type you would see on a brake caliper) on top of the thermostat housing. This is on the passenger's side of the engine, right where the large radiator hose goes towards the firewall from the radiator. Opening this bleeder screw (ONLY WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD) will allow trapped air to escape. Be sure to keep the coolant tank at the "cold full" mark while doing this. If the coolant tank runs dry, you likely will introduce more air into the system.

Will 22 inch rims fit on your 2004 Chrysler sebring?
I have the solution for you. For the 2004 Chrysler Sebring Coupe Limited 3.0 (That is the Sebring with the V6 Engine the 6G72) you have to go on eBay and order to pairs of WHEEL ADAPTERS SPACERS 5X114.3 CHRYSLER DODGE FORD 2".
Make sure that they are hub centric The 2004 Chrysler Sebring Coupe Limited's Suspension is designed only for 17" rims which suck. To bypass that the spacers will enable the wheels to "bow out" giving it an aggressive look. They will tuck under your wheel well but you will have a problem with rubbing. Also another problem that will arise is that you CANNOT have no more than you and a passenger in the vehicle because the car is designed to only hold a little over 830lbs inside the cab. So if that is your daily driver or family car you are screwed but if it's your toy car then you are fine. You must also make some modifications to the engine and transmission to handle the new allotted weight of the wheels and yourself. The Rims' size should be 22x8.5 and the tire size should be 235 30 R22 Z. You need Z rated tires for the highway (or Autobahn if you're in Europe). Do not be cheap. Trust me you will thank me later. If you want to modify it further take it to the body shop and remove about 2" off of the wheel wells/fenders to add to your over all turning radius. You do not need a lift kit and they will tuck just fine. Trust me.

How do you change the battery in a 1999 Chrysler Sebring?
I had to do this, the battery is located in the left wheel behind the wheel cover. I have also found that most places will do this with an extra fee.
If it is a convertible, it's easy.
The battery is under the left front fender.
Remove the negative battery cable.
Loosen the lugs nuts about 2 full turns (front left wheel).
Lift the left front corner, using an appropriate floor jack or bottle jack. The best place to lift is either the frame pad behind the front left wheel inside the body weld (see Owners Manual), or lift the A-arm directly, as far outboard as possible.
Remove the wheel.
The battery is under the front left fender. There are two nuts holding the battery bracket in place. Remove the two nuts.
Then remove the battery cables from the battery. Then slide the battery out.
Put the new one in, fasten the cables, install the bracket, put the wheel on, and hand tighten the nuts.
Let the car down, then finish tightening the lug nuts.
Attach the negative battery cable.
You're done.
It will take a couple days for the computer to "re-learn" the engine, so performance might be a little loose for a couple days or so.

33PSI, but check the label on the driver door jamb to be sure.
Something is wrong. Take them apart and see what happened and why. Possibly one of the metal shims slipped out of place during the install. Don't keep driving knowing something isn't right with the brakes.

When a 1998 Chrysler Sebring makes noise while shifting the transmission should undergo a fluid change. Dirty fluid can cause hard shifting. The engine should also be given a diagnostics test to see if all the sensors are functioning correctly.
