Hand-rolled cigars have a cap--it's a little piece of tobacco stuck to the head, and it's there to keep the cigar from unraveling. You can't smoke the cigar with it intact, so you need to remove some. A cigar punch puts a hole in the cap. I believe you mean "mazos". If you are just going to put the cigars in your humidor its a good deal. It reduces packaging costs. It also allows more flexibility in the quantity sold. For instance you can get a mazo of ten and still pay box price per unit, instead of paying full retail x 10.

I'm actually not sure if it's against federal law for a minor to import tobacco for personal use, but in most states, it is illegal for a minor to even possess tobacco products, meaning they could be confiscated and you could face criminal penalties including a fine for doing so.

Cuban cigars add another complication to the mix, because up until a couple of years ago it was forbidden for a US citizen to import Cuban cigars at all. There is now a limited exception to this and a traveler can import a small quantity of Cuban cigars for personal use under certain circumstances.

Well, I don't think so. I just got off the phone with R. J Reynolds and was told that the newly packaged Slim 100's are basically the same. I can still tell the difference!
