Can you tell the approximate age of a model 311A Stevens 20ga?

As far as I'm aware, they've made them forever. Get the serial number off it and go to the Stevens part of this website and post the q-somebody will know. As far as the gun itself goes, it is a highly sought after but not very valuable arm...enjoy it and don't bother trying for money. Marked as a 311, it was made after 1941. Same gun was the 5000 in the 20's and a 5100 in the 30's. It was made until about 1988 or 89 but if it has no serial number it was made before 1969.

A male cockatiel jumped on your female cockatiel's back for a second did they mate?

Well, they tried to anyhow. Probably. That's how they do it. if the male jumps on the females back they were trying but they got interupted by someone walking past them or coming to their cage.

Are lutino cockatiels male or female?

Lutino cockatiels are a colour not a gender. However, it does happen that because of the genetics and chromosones they are most often female although there are some males lutinos around (or there wouldn't be any left.)

How much for a 1997 quarter with double strikes on both sides like two heads and eagles laid over each other?

All indications are that, if this is a genuine flipover double strike, your coin could be worth over $1,000. I suggest you send large magnified pictures to Mike Byers, an error coin dealer, and see what he has to say about it. You can email him at mike@mikebyers.com Good luck!

Can a cockatiel eat chicken skin?

Yes, but I don't suggest it. It is usually fatty and not the best health wise for them.

How do you tell if your cockatiel is pregnant She has been sitting on the bottom of her cage for about a day and a half now and the male is constantly standing over her?

Cockatiels are birds and, therefore, do not get "pregnant"; they lay eggs. However, if she is behaving strangely, she may be egg-bound or otherwise ill. Consult your Veterinarian.

Why are bigger females attracted to smaller men?

I don't think that bigger females are attracted to smaller men, but they are so tall or big-boned and the average man is 5' 10" - 5' 11" that it appears that way. It's no different than saying "Why is that guy so attracted to tiny girls when he's well over 6 feet tall." You simply fall in love and size really has nothing to do with it. My niece is 21 years old and 6 feet tall; very large boned, but great figure and statuesque, yet she is still young enough not to appreciate how gorgeous she is and if I say anything I simply get "Awww you're my aunt and you'll always say that about me." It bothers me to see her slouch around when she is out or, her mother has told me that she often will just sit in a club with friends and refuse to get up and walk around if the place is well lit because she feels like a mammoth woman. Some men are the ones that like very large well-rounded women and choose the woman in their lives, not the other way around.

Can cockatiel talk?

Yes, cockatiels can talk. I have a friend who will screach "pretty bird" until he gets attention from someone. It may take a while but if you recite a phrase enough (and beware anybody that uses foul language) they will eventually learn to talk.

It should be noted that cockatiels do not actually talk. They mimic sounds, including human speech, but are incapable of forming intelligent sentences or associations with the words they seem to say.

Can you have other cockatiels in the same cage as a breeding pair of cockateils?

You can, but it really depends on the personality of the breeding pair. Sometimes, the breeding pair will be so territorial that they will not breed with other cockatiels in close proximity, and will toss the eggs out of the nesting box. Others have no problems at all, and several pairs of cockatiels will be breeding at the same time. It is important to make sure the aviary is large enough to accommodate more birds, and that each of the breeding pairs has sufficianet privacy, for example, placing nesting boxes at opposite ends of the cage.

Can stain fumes kill you?

I posted the question, but have been researching still. I haven't found anything that says that if the fumes are not "DIRECTLY" consumed (like "huffing") the fumes can kill you, but for anyone researching this, some answers that have helped is that heat, candles, and dryness can help the smell. I am currently trying the candle method.

Is it bad to feed cockatiels in their cage?

No it's fine to feed cockatiels in their cage. I feed mine in their cage as they will not eat out of my hand. Just make sure you clean their cage thoroughly every day, including perches, dishes, toys etc. Also make sure your birds have vegetables and fruit to eat aswell as seeds or pellets to keep them healthy.

How do cockatiels get around mostly?

Since a cockatiel's (hands) are behind it's back the cockatiel uses it's feet to wobble around perches and ect. Cockatiels can also use their wings for balance if they are about to lean or fall. It's like if you are walking on something skinny such as a rope or a skinny piece of ceament and you put your hands out by your sides to keep your balance, well the cockatiel does the same thing!
