What effect would antibodies have on a virus that causes the flu?
Antibodies can attach to and render a virus unable to attach to your cells to infect them. If you get a preventive vaccination, your antibodies will get to work on this project much sooner and you may feel no symptoms at all.
More:
Antibodies are specific to each particular virus or other pathogen, and play a key role in the immune response to invading virus infections. The antibodies are created to be the perfect shape to block the virus from being able to attach to the cells. If unable to attach to the cell, the virus can not reproduce. See related questions below for more information about the immune response to viral infections.

If you had H2N2 flu in 1957 do you need H1N1 shot?
Yes. There has never been a vaccine made for a strain that was close enough to the current H1N1/09 pandemic flu to have allowed our immune systems to make antibodies that would be a good fit to the new flu. So, no prior vaccinations will have provided any protection for the pandemic swine flu. When you can get an H1N1/09 flu vaccination, you should go ahead and get one to be protected.

It is something someone made up to try to fool or scare people. So don't believe everything like this that you hear. There is no such thing as Zombie Swine Flu or H1Z1. The rumors and hoax originally were started as an April Fool's Day joke in 2005 but at that time, it was supposedly a disease caused by mosquitoes in Asia.
That story got started again for April Fool's Day 2009 when someone made it seem like the BBC had reported a mutation of the original H1N1 Swine Flu into H1Z1 "Zombie Swine Flu". The spoof and hoax grew from there as internet hoaxes do, and got rewritten and spread quickly fueled by the fears people already were having about the new Novel H1N1 Influenza, being called at that time the 2009 Swine flu, that first began to be discovered also in April 2009. For more details, see the link below to the Snopes.com web page about the false "report".
But, even if this weren't another internet hoax, I don't believe that Zombies can get the flu at all, anyway. They can't get any kind: not stomach flu, not Swine flu, not Bird flu or any other kinds of viruses. The reason is that viruses need to have a living host to be able to reproduce and infect animals or people. Since we know that Zombies are not really living, and viruses know that, too, they just don't bother to infect Zombies, it is a waste of a virus' time.
I think that even if someone told you that the Swine Flu would turn you into a Zombie, not that they thought that Zombies could get the flu, you can be sure that they would have made that up, too. Because viruses can't do that either. That is a scientific fact. So that is out, too.
And, finally, and most importantly, since Zombies are mythical and not real, we have absolutely nothing to worry about. There is a link below to the WikiPedia information about mythical Zombies.
Think of the 2007 movie I Am Legend. Now maybe you're starting to get the joke, eh?
Why do my lungs hurt with the flu?
It is the mucous tissue, mostly in the respiratory system (including lungs), where the influenza viruses attack the body and destroy the cells as they replicate. Until our immune systems can create the proper defenses to inactivate and remove the flu virus particles from our bodies, we can feel the symptoms of the damage to the mucous tissue cells, which sometimes includes pain in the lungs. In addition, if you have severe pain or if you have congestion and severe cough beyond the first two weeks of symptoms, it could mean you have a secondary lung infection (pneumonia) by bacteria or other viruses that needs treatment. This can also cause your lungs to hurt. Contact your health care professional to describe the symptoms so they can determine if you need an examination.
When are you contagious with viral gastroenteritis?
The actual duration will vary depending on the virus that is involved in the illness. In general, for the worst case scenario, you are contagious as soon as a day after you have been exposed to the virus (even before symptoms appear) and two weeks after your symptoms have cleared. In the best case scenario, you are contagious while showing symptoms and at least three days after they have cleared.
Will you get the flu every time you have a sore throat?
No, sore throats are more often caused by the virus of the common cold and not the flu virus.
If during the fall and winter (in the Northern Hemisphere) during flu season, it may more likely be the flu, however. See the related question below about the differences in symptoms between the common cold and the flu. The flu season is in the spring and summer in the Southern Hemisphere.
Sore throats are also often caused by bacterial infections, like "strep throat". If you do not have the other symptoms of the flu or a cold with a sore throat, this may be the cause. Often a health care professional's exam is needed to determine which it is so that the proper treatment can be started.
Don't smoke cigarettes, then the sore throat could be due to irritation or even cancer.
What type of event is most likely to cause a widespread influenza outbreak?
Any crowded public gathering, such as church service, sports event, school event or concert, is likely to cause an outbreak if there are viruses circulating (e.g., during flu season) at the time of the event. The best thing to do to avoid falling victim to that is to get your seasonal flu vaccination as soon as the vaccine is made available each year. Then you can attend this type of event without worry of contracting the flu from others at the venue (as long as you wait long enough after the vaccination to have achieved full immunity before attending the large public event).
See also the related question below about religious facilities and events for some general guidelines for actions that can be done to prevent the spread at such events.
