What is measured in gigahertz?
A gigahertz is a measure of frequency.
Giga means billion, hertz means frequency. Therefore, a gigahertz is a frequency measurement of One Billion (1,000,000,000) hertz.
Why do motherboards have parallel ports?
I'm guessing this question means I'm getting old :) Parallel ports were originally added to a computer to communicate with printing devices. Later it was adapted for use with many other devices which needed higher data throughput (I know it's funny now what was considered high throughput in those days) such as ZIP drives, external hard drives and early external CD-Rom. Another cool (again showing...) thing about the port is that being parallel and having 8 data lines it was fairly easy to create hardware that you could control from the port (I created a few projects like this in my school days) without having a degree in Engineering. Until recently, most ports in your computer have been parallel to one extent or another, your PATA (old IDE port) was parallel, as were the ISA, standard PCI slots and so on. Newer technologies have replaced though as is always the way, and now most things are serial (PCI-E, SATA, USB, Ethernet)
What are the two most important input devices of a computer?
Computer input devices are peripheral devices that provide data and control signals to the computer. The keyboard and mouse are the most important input devices.
Is windows an input or output?
You could call the operating system thwarting process between input and output. It inputs your commands from keyboard, mouse and voice etc. Then outputs sound from speakers and light from the monitor.
How can you add peripheral devises to a sysytem?
Nowadays it's pretty easy- most are USB operated and have built-in software that tells the computer how to use the device (called a "driver"). If the peripheral you're using is older or needs special help to work on your computer, it will usually come with a disc to put in and install the drivers.
How can a touchscreen tablet be both an input and an out put device?
Touchscreens have a thin layer of sensors that act just like your keyboard. Each tiny square has a point coordinate or a specific address, just like the keys on the keyboard, so when you touch the left bottom corner, the sensors go off and send an "on" signal to your computer telling it that there is input in that specific area, your computer processes the information and outputs a dot, or moves the mouse pointer to the left bottom corner.
My description is of course very high level, I hope it gives some clarity to your question though.
What CMOS item can be password protected?
Yes. While the computer is booting up, keep pressing the escape key until it appears.
Why is hardware installation important?
Installation disks contains all the important file that helps the computer to interfere with the hardware (meaning its working & functionality). If we do not install then it wont be able to recognise what has been attached to it.
What are the requirements of LAN?

Can you convert usb 1.0 to usb 2.0?
USB 1.0 and USB 2.0 are similar but USB 2.0 provides for a much faster data transfer rate. The USB 1.0 specification operates at 12Mbit/s and the USB 2.0 specification operates at 480Mbits/s Although a 1.0 device cannot operate at 2.0 speeds, the two are compatible. Connecting a USB 1.0 device to a USB 2.0 port or connecting a USB 2.0 device to a USB 1.0 port are both possible. Any device, port or hub that is a 1.0 standard will reduce the data rate to the 1.0 standard. The USB 2.0 specification was adopted in 2001 and most USB devices now conform to the later standard. Older computers may have USB 1.0 ports fitted but will still operate without problems for most applications.

What is the difference between port filtering and port forwarding?
There is no difference between port mapping and port forwarding and both are equal and in some router they are used instead of the other one .
The meaning of these names is that "New connections from the outside to a certain port or port range go to a designated LAN machine. The ports are determined by the kind of server you want to run, (e.g. 80 for a web server) and the IP is the private LAN IP of your web server."
In technology (printers, etc), Hewlett Packard.
In food (HP Sauce, etc) Harry Palmer - the founder. (Not "Houses of Parliament", despite an image of the Parliament being on the label of every sauce bottle).
The acronym HP can also be an abbreviation for "horsepower" (a unit of mechanical work equal to 746 watts).
What is meant by port in case of a microproccesser?
It is nothing but the physical contacts with d IC chip, may be as I/o or O/p.
Why does your computer say it needs more memorie?
Chances are you have bought a cheaper computer with not enough memory to use the programs on your computer to make this simple it means that it doesn't have enough memory and you must get more from a computer store.
COM1 and COM2 originally referred to the serial port interfaces on a PC. Now they can refer to any port, virtual or physical.
Explain how cold boot different from a warm boot?
Warm boot: not all the processes shut down. It does not take as long for a warm boot and many times users do not have to be off the system. Cold boot: Everything shuts down. There are shutdown scripts which shut down all the processes (so nothing is missed). All users must be off the system. Then, you run the startup script (check for errors). Test the system to make sure the changes you made took effect and there's no problems. Warm boot example: Configurable parameter was changed and the documentation states in order for it to take effect, a warm boot is required. In the documentation for that particular system, a warm boot's criteria will be listed. Cold boot example: Operating system upgrade on the server.
What does the word refurbished mean?
Refurbished items are evaluated relying upon what number of corrective flaws they have – scratches, nicks, scrapes, and different imperfections – just as how much the item has been utilized by the previous owner and what bundling it comes in.
Refurbished grades run on a scale from refurbished Grade A all the way to refurbished Grade C, in which, just as in college, refurbished Grade A offers the best quality and refurbished Grade C the lowest quality of a refurbished phone.
According to Renewedkart, here’s a breakdown on what to expect from each:
Refurbished Grade A: The best nature of refurbished Phones: close-mint condition, excellent corrective level, and little indications of past use.
Refurbished Grade B: The second-best nature of refurbished Phones: light scraping on the bezel and light scratches working on this issue or body because of delicate use.
Refurbished Grade C: 100% in working request yet will have more scratches and indications of mileage because of day by day use.
Why an understanding of the binary number system is important to IT professionals?
Computers do most of their calculations in binary, internally.
The binary system consists of 1's and 0's only, which are used in computer technology to signify "on" or"off", the only possible states for each of the millions of transistors operating the machine.

This will not be official but at least you will have a copy somewhere. You can also scan photo graphs for your private enjoyment at any time.
Hope this answer was of help to you!
