Why do some computer screen go bule and dont turn on again?

There are way to many reasons for "The Blue Screen of Death" to occur. The primary reason is a corruption in the operating system's kernel. The kernel is the part of the operating system (Win9x, XP, Vista) that communicates with the PC's hardware. The error is normally caused by a corrupted or missing file. I've attached a URL for a technical explaination for what the errors mean. You might be able to goggle the error message or the work "blue screen" to get a fix. Unfortunately, the operating system often has to be restored to correct the problem. If you have ANY luck getting into the operating system, perform a rapid backup of your most important data. (a good weekly practice anyway.) Good luck!

What is the difference between LED and LCD?

LED, they are lighter, thinner, consume less power, last longer, and have better color and picture.

LCD- Cheaper.

2nd Answer:

Surprise! They are BOTH LCD screens. The older style are lighted from behind with fluorescent lighting, which is not color perfect.

The newer style have LCD screens that are lighted from behind with LEDs, which have nearly perfect color, and are also much sharper.

3rd answer:

LED are light emitting diodes, and an LED display is composed of a matrix of many light emitting diodes. The LED display, therefore, is an active emitter of light. LCD is short for liquid crystal display. It operates on the basis of reflected (or not reflected) light, but is in itself not an active light emitter. Modern LCD designs act as transparent displays with a backlight shining through, but the display itself is not actively emitting light.

LED displays offer higher contrast, speed and brightness, but LCD displays offer lower manufacturing cost.
LCD stands for liquid crystal display. The technology uses tiny cells that are used to open and close shutters. As the shutters are opened, light can pass through them. In a television, the cells are arrange in groups of three, with a red, a green and a blue filter.

An LCD television needs a light source behind the display screen and this has traditionally been several fluorescent tubes. 2009 saw the introduction of white LED arrays as a light source rather than fluorescent tubes. The LED technology allows for more efficient lighting and thinner cases for the televisions but the display technology itself is unchanged.

Confusingly, there is now a small but growing selection of LED televisions that do not use LCD at all. These models feature a red, a green and a blue light emitting diode for each pixel of the image. The image is created by the LEDs glowing at varying intensities and so they do not need any kind of back light. This same technology is used in large arena and open air displays but only now is it becoming practical to produce compact LED arrays of a size to suit domestic size displays. True LED televisions are in their infancy in 2010 but we can expect the technology to mature over the coming years and it is likely that they will become the dominant display technology in the coming years.

Whats wrong when the PC monitor is black after a power interruption with a floating box saying no signal and the yellow light is on?

Simply put, the monitor is not receiving a signal from the computer because....

A. The computer is off

B. The signal cable has come unplugged somehow

or, worst case scenario..

C. The power interruption (and resulting surge) has fried something inside your computer.

I seriously doubt that there is anything with the monitor, if that were the case it wouldn't work well enough to show you the floating box.

What is dot pitch?

Dot pitch is a specification for a computer display, computer printer, image scanner, or other pixel-based device that describes the distance, for example, between dots (sub-pixels) of the same color on the inside of a display screen. In the case of a color display dot pitch is a measure of the size of a triad plus the distance between the triads.

Dot pitch may be measured in linear units, usually millimeters, with a smaller number meaning closer spacing, or in dots per linear unit, for example dots per inch(DPI), with a larger number meaning closer spacing. Closer spacing generally produces a sharper image (as there are more pixels in a given area).

What are the safety precautions of maintenance?

If you mean safety during computer maintenance, here are some precautions to take.

1. Make sure everything is unplugged from the power and telephone service before servicing it. That is to protect both the technician and the computer components.

2. Use an antistatic mat and/or wrist strap while working with sensitive parts, but not at other times. That is designed to save the components, not the technician. Do not wear a wrist strap while working inside the power supply or while working with high voltage.

3. Make sure the computer or other devices you are repairing are on a level, steady surface. Otherwise, if things start to fall, you could injure yourself grabbing for it.

4. Watch out for sharp edges.

5. Be careful placing parts on corners of benches and other surfaces, since you could damage them or drop them on your feet.

6. You should wear shoes and thick, long clothing. That can help prevent electric shock and burns.

7. Gloves of an appropriate type should be worn when feasible.

8. Use the correct tools for the job. That helps protect from personal injury and equipment damage.
