LCD screens NEVER use any fluids to clean an LCD screen. Use a dry and soft cloth (not paper, it contains wood pieces which could scratch your screen). If this doesn't help, use lightly wetted anti-static monitor wipes ESPECIALLY designed to clean such screens. They are widely available at electronics or office supply stores. Also, on the packaging look for the designation: Safe for Laptops and LCD screens. CRT monitors The best way to clean your computer screen is to use a lint-free cloth, spray the cloth with glass cleaner, not the screen, wipe down your screen, and wipe dry with a lint-free cloth. Be sure to turn off your monitor before cleaning. Never use anything like Pledge, it builds up and attracts dust.

The active matrix LCD was invented by Westinghouse. Prior to that there had been numerous attempts to make a display using liquid crystals. None of these prior attempts produced anything usable.

The picture will become finer. Your picture is made up of dots called pixels. Pixels are created from resolution for example 640x480=XXXX amounts of pixels. So when you create more pixels by increasing the resolution to say 1024x768=xxxxx amounts of pixels you increase the pixels amount and finess of the image.

CRT beam move from top left corner to button right corner of the screen for maintaining screen picture. it is called a cycle or frame. the number of frame in a second maintain by the beam is known as refresh rate. in raster scan system it is 60 to 80 frames per second

No, your computer monitor does not store information. It displays the information from your computer. Your data is stored on a hard drive or some other form of digital storage.

Information to be displayed on the monitor is created by programs and written to display memory. Electronic circuitry and a cable scans this memory and transfers the information to the monitor to be displayed. The display memory is normally part of the display hardware and circuitry. On lesser computers and notebooks, part of the computers main memory is allocated for display purposes reducing the amount of memory available for application processing.

Hi mate, I think if you follow my steps you should be able to solve your problem.

Go to the "Start" button.

Then click on "Run"

Then type in "msconfig" without the speech marks, and press enter.

Then select the "Startup" tab.

And try to find something that looks related to AIM. It should be called AIM or something.

Then select the box to make it a startup item.

and press "Apply" and "Close"

Now you have to restart your PC

On the next time you log on to windows, a message should appear. Just click dont show again.

A printer would be another example of an output device. A mouse or keyboard are input devices, because they are devices which the user utilises to give information to the computer.

It's sequential (or serial) access. The records are written one after the other (as if in a line or queue) and in order to find one the tape must be fast-forwarded or rewound as appropriate until the beginning of the record is found.

If LCD, you want to look at the reccomended resolution, the contrast ratio, and the dot pitch or pixel spacing. A higher contrast ratio means whiter whites and blacker blacks, while the higher the resolution, the higher the definition. The pixel spacing or dot pitch should be as small as possible.

Next is the response speed. Anything over 10ms may cause blurring or 'ghosting' when things move quickly on the screen. Be warned, anything that says it's below 4ms is often either lying, uses a 'trick' that degrades the picture substantially, or is misreporting. These are always poor quality monitors, but respond quickly in games.

If you want quality of picture, look for an S-IPS panel. This is a superior technology which provides a much sharper, more beautiful image. It is, however, expensive.

S-Video ports and AVI ports are used to connect a computer to a monitor/television screen. S-video usually works with older television sets and some monitors. AVI used to be the most common way to connect a computer (desktop or laptop) to a monitor. Currently HDMI and DVI dominate the commercial market.

As for uses: people use them for dual/multi-monitor displays; to extend their workspace. You can also connect your laptop to a better monitor/television and then you can watch a video in better quality.

Obviously, the main difference between a plasma and LCD monitor is that plasma screens use plasma gas to generate an image and LCD's use liquid crystals. Plasma screens have a much longer response rate which will leave "screen burn" or a persisting image after the image is gone. LCD's have a much quicker response time that is best for fast paced games. Both monitors use the same imput and are capable of high definition images. LCD's usually have higher contrast ratios which yields much sharper images although their maximum size is less than that of a plasma monitor.

Click the little gear shape and go to zoom. Click it and for best results click 125%. If that doesn't work, you might have to put your two fingers on your computer pad and move them to adjust your screen.
