What is the purpose of screen scraping?

The purpose of screen scraping is to allow older programs (often called legacy programs) to continue to work with new applications. This ensures new programming code is backwards compatible with older code language.

Who invented monochrome monitor?

I doubt this can be exactly determined. Some early computers using CRT DRAM for memory had an extra tube that could be switched to any bank to display memory contents as dots for 1's, this might be considers a monochrome monitor though it was of limited use. Many early computers that needed a display used RADAR tubes. On microcomputers in the 1970s an ordinary TV was used. There were probably many inventors, of many different forms.

A VGA-HDMI cord can plug into my monitor via the VGA side and the HDMI into the output device. Is the LCD monitor output still going to be analog which would make that cord useless?

When you use a VGA cable coming out of the monitor, the monitor is giving out an analog signal through the VGA connection. For the monitor to give out a digital signal, you need a DVI or HDMI cable.

The VGA to HDMI cord just converts the analog signal into a digital signal so it's not completely useless, however the quality will not be as good as an HDMI to HDMI or DVI to DVI or HDMI to DVI

What is the main difference between output and outcome in case of monitoring and evaluation of development activities?

Example:

You put on ten courses for 100 people (output)

90 people achieve accreditation, 10 people did not (outcome).

Also 'impact' is very important when evaluating (not enough for someone to complete a course and receive accreditation - what 'DIFFERENCE' has that made to the individual's personal development).

Monitoring is an iterative process undertaken during the activity to assess if the aims and objectives are being met.

Evaluation is an assessment of how well the objectives had been met.

Why do you have a monitor and what are the uses?

A monitor is the "gateway" to your computer. It is the output of your computer. E.g. a mathematical formula has an input, an output and an algorithm. The keyboard & mouse is the input, the computer is the algorithm, and the monitor is the output.

What makes a 3d monitor different from a 2d monitor?

They are essentially the same except that 3D monitor is capable of a a very high refresh rate. The high refresh rate displays alternating images for the left or right eye, with the help of shutter glasses, rapid enough for the brain to recognize it as a stereoscopic image.
