What is the difference between wheat barley maize?
Wheat has a more broader and "coarser" seed head than barley, and the tufts/bristles (called awns) are shorter in wheat than barley. Corn or Maize is a much larger cereal grass, with the seeds on a cob enclosed by a sheath. The awns are very floppy and finer than either wheat or corn. Corn can grow up to 10 feet in height whereas barley and wheat only grow up to 4 feet in height.
As far as deciphering individual grains, wheat is darker in colouration than barley. Corn is much different shaped than wheat or barley, having a rounded head as opposed to the sharp oval/diamond shape that wheat and barley have.
It sort of depends on the size, age and coloration ! Baby 'standard' corn snakes sell for around £60 but an albino would be more expensive.

Many kinds of corn grown for ensilage or silage (where the whole stalk is used, not just the grain ear) are routinely 14-16 or even 18 feet tall because the intent is to have more mass to use as fodder (think of it like really big hay)
Some tropical varieties from Mexico and Peru, like Jala Maize, will easily grow to 20 feet by themselves, taller if they are given special care for competitive "tall corn" contests.

How do you create a corn maze?
Start with a field of corn. Plan out a maze (or labyrinth, if you're high class). Correlate the dimensions of your plan to the dimensions of the field. (Paces work best.) Using a pair of clippers (a sharpened hoe works best), cut away all the corn that's in the way of the paths of the maze. Use common sense. If the plan doesn't exactly match the cutting, don't cut across paths.
