there are differnt types of Aboriginal dance. Different tribes have different cultural dances. In Australia there are over 250 different tribes and each one has there own style od dance.

Well, i am in fact a ballroom dancer, and I say yes. The dances are ,of course, made appropriately for age and the dance level. However, i think that if you want to take it seriously and me very good, why not start earlier? You'll develop lots of skill fast and will be much more advanced by age 13. Also, if you're still young then the moves will immediately transmit to muscle memory...you could become very...advanced in movement and very capable of many things. This just from my opinion of personal experience : ballroom dancer since age 5 (:

I've done both and there's definitely a big difference though many think it's the same. In gymnastics, athletes show off the difference things they can do using what equipment they get. For example, jumping on beam. But in acro, you do the same things without any equipment. Acro is also more dance-like, in my acro dance we did pirouettes and leaps and also threw in flips and ariels. While in gymnastics you would do a short routine with as many tricks you could fit in.

In short form, acro is basically gymnastics without all the equipment and it's more dance-like.
