How many countries are dictator?
Now there are only 3 dictators through the world currently (2010) they are Venezuela's Hugo Chavez, China's Hu Jintao and North Korea's Kim Jong Il.
Only North Korea actually states its self as a dictatorship, the rest of the countries here have type of democratic government (Venezuela) or a weak communism (China).
The above answer is uninformed to say the least. There are 40 or more and many countries that pretend to be democracies are extremely limited in what the leaders permit.
China does allow some freedom to merchants and regional governments. At the national level the Communist Party is in total control.

Why do you think dictators need to find scapegoats for the nations ills?
There is no need to find a scapegoat for any problem if somebody actually wishes to resolve the problem.
However, there are many governments, especially dictatorships, whose leaders do not wish to improve the lives of their inhabitants lest they be overthrown. (Educated people prefer democracies.) However, the leaders cannot tell their citizens point-blank that they have no interest in catering to the citizens' demands, since this would cause riots. So, the leaders claim that some third party is proving to be an obstacle to this realization. This allows for people to be angry at a third party and release the pressure against overthrowing an inherently unequal and illegitimate system.
The secondary benefits are that:

How does dictatorship establish order?
Dictatorships work because everybody is doing something like a job and the economy is flourishing and no one is on the streets.
Very bad answer. Dictatorships are not ECONOMIC systems, but governmental systems. A dictatorship can have widespread poverty (Mao's China, Tito's Yugoslavia) or be rolling in riches (Caesar's ROme, Chavez Venezuela)
Many dictatorships were troubled by many unemployed and irate in the streets.
No. Pakistan is a federal republic with democratic institutions of debatable effectiveness. These institutions include political parties and elected bodies at the national, provincial, and district levels. Despite possessing these tokens of democracy, Pakistan can not be termed a democratic country for some of the following reasons.
This list is not exhaustive, but illustrates that the political process in Pakistan is far different from one that would be described as a democratic.
Military dictatorship in myanmar burma?
Burma (also known as Myanmar) is ruled by a murderous and merciless military regime. Senior General Than Shwe is the current head of state, with his other co-generals, all of them are members of the so-called State Peace and Development Council.
The controlling regime has been criticized for a great number of human rights violations. Shwe's army has destroyed 3,000 villages across the country, launched a terrible campaign against the Muslim minorities in Burma, forcing an estimated 250,000 people to flee to neighbouring country Bangladesh as refugees and recruiting over 70,000 child soldiers at gunpoint. His daughter, Thandar Shwe's wedding, was so extravagant that some of the wedding gifts given to her cost a shocking $50,000,000! The video of the wedding, I think, was smuggled out of Burma and uploaded on Youtube.com, or maybe it was uploaded secretly in Burma...
His army, the Tatmadaw, is now nearly half-a-million strong and uses rape as a weapon against the ethnic minorities in Burma.
There are over 1,000,000 internally displaced people throughout the country, these people have been forced to choose between slavery or to flee to the jungle...many chose to flee into the jungle and are now struggling to survive.
He has continously told the Burmese that his government is following the road to democracy, but the road to democracy that he is talking about is just the road to nowhere and more repression.
Shwe is the one and only man who is greatly HATED by the Burmese people, whatever he does, and if he even says that he is leading the Burmese nation and people to prosperity, he's not.
Yes it does have a mean bad dictator

Why did dictators gain power in Europe between World War 1 and World War 2?
A nice question! I am happy you asked about 'dictatorships' and not just asked about one, Germany. Yes there were many dictators around at that time. Japan, Italy, Russia and Germany. The reasons are many, for example; WW1 classed as the War to End all Wars, gave nothing to the ordinary people. The Soldiers returning, had no jobs! Heroes, yes, but who cared? The public noticed that the only people who made money out of the war, were the owners of big business' who sold Arms to both sides. Then there was the massive inflation of the 1920/1930s,people lost their jobs, their homes, and some their lives. It only needed clever men, good speakers, who told the people what they thought anyway, but could not say themselves. They promised, Jobs, Food, Holidays paid by the State, good living standards for all. All they had to do, was get rid of these rich owners of the big factories, who bled the people dry. So people believed them, and followed them. Only later, did they find out that these clever speakers only wanted POWER, and were not interested in the 'people'. But by then it was too late! Nothing has changed! There are still 'clever' people about, in a great many Countries, who promise everything to the people, but in truth only want POWER! This was a good question, for by asking it, it may make people 'THINK' and in doing so, the people may be able to see 'through' the words, and by thinking, may stop another dictator from getting what he wants...Power!

Is Zimbabwe under dictatorship?
Dictatorship is the state of a government that is often called "totalitarianism". Bascially it's the idea that a single person, or a very small ruling elite rule an entire country and place great restrictions on personal and economic freedoms.
As the word itself indicates, it is when a leader dictates what the people will and what they will not do. It is the governing power where no opposition is tolerated. Depending on how tight of a hold the government holds on the economy, it can govern where you will work, what you will grow if you are a farmer, or what you will sell as a shop owner. It can also govern what religion you may belong to and what schools your children will attend. It can even dictate how many children you may have, as the Chinese government does at present. In a dictatorship there are rarely any oppositional parties, if there are they are usually in name only. In summary, dictatorship, or totalitarianism is a single person ruling an entire country, keeping extremely close hold on both personal and economic freedom.
